U.S. 2-year note sold at highest yield since July 2008

NEW YORK, May 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department on Tuesday sold $33 billion of two-year government debt at a yield of 2.590 percent, which was the highest yield at an auction of this maturity since July 2008, Treasury data showed.

The ratio of bids to the amount offered was 2.88, higher than 2.61 at the previous two-year note sale held in April. (Reporting by Richard Leong Editing by Nick Zieminski)
