Whitbread to take full ownership of South China Costa operations

Oct 10 (Reuters) - Britain’s Whitbread said its coffee chain business Costa would acquire the 49 percent of a South China joint venture held by its partner Yueda Group.

Whitbread said it would pay 35 million pounds to acquire the stake.

Costa currently owns 51 percent of the joint venture which operates 252 stores in the south of China, along with 93 stores in Shanghai.
