Oct 27 (Reuters) - Premier-Inn owner Whitbread reported a loss for the first half on Tuesday and said market performance has slowed since early October after the government instructed people to work from home and imposed new regional lockdowns.
The owner of the Beefeater, Brewers Fayre and Bar + Block chains said first-half pretax loss was 724.7 million pounds ($944.50 million), compared with a pretax profit of 219.9 million pounds a year earlier.
