Soccer-Struggling Reggina sack Ulivieri

ROME, March 3 (Reuters) - Reggina have sacked coach Renzo Ulivieri and replaced him with their former academy trainer Nevio Orlandi, the Serie A strugglers said on Monday.

“Reggina relieves Mr Renzo Ulivieri of the post of first-team coach,” read a statement on the side’s Web site ( “The club thanks the Tuscan coach for the professional and human contribution given.”

Reggina are second from bottom after picking up just four points in their last seven league games, which were gained from Sunday’s 0-0 home draw with Palermo and a shock 2-1 win over Juventus.

Orlandi is the third coach of the season for the side from Reggio Calabria on the toe of Italy, after Ulivieri replaced Massimo Ficcadenti at the start of November.
