Italy PM says working with EU to help sectors hit by U.S. tariffs

MILAN, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Italy is working with the European Union on possible measures to compensate manufacturers hit by increased U.S. tariffs on products including cheese and spirits, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on Thursday.

Conte told a business association conference in Milan the government would do all it could to limit damage from the higher U.S. tariffs and was working with EU authorities on potential offsetting measures to help sectors affected.
