McBride warns on profit after weak trading in May

July 3 (Reuters) - McBride PLC ::FOLLOWING WEAKER THAN EXPECTED SALES LEVELS IN MAY AND JUNE 2018, GROUP NOW EXPECTS FULL YEAR ADJUSTED PROFIT BEFORE TAX TO BE MARGINALLY BELOW LOWER END OF ANALYST EXPECTATIONS.SECOND HALF REVENUES FOR HOUSEHOLD SEGMENT ON A LIKE FOR LIKE BASIS ARE SHOWING GROWTH OF 3.8%.TOTAL HOUSEHOLD REVENUES IN SECOND HALF, INCLUDING DANLIND, ARE EXPECTED TO BE 15.8% HIGHER THAN SAME PERIOD OF LAST FINANCIAL YEAR.SAW WEAKER THAN EXPECTED SALES LEVELS IN CERTAIN MARKETS IN MAY, AND WHILST JUNE SAW AN IMPROVEMENT, PERFORMANCE ACROSS TWO MONTHS MEANS THAT ADJUSTED PROFIT BEFORE TAX WILL BE MARGINALLY BELOW LOWER END OF ANALYST EXPECTATIONS.
