May 17 (Reuters) - Boeing Co ::BOEING - BOEING STATEMENT ON 737 MAX CERTIFICATION AND RETURN TO SERVICE.BOEING - HAS COMPLETED DEVELOPMENT OF UPDATED SOFTWARE FOR 737 MAX, ALONG WITH ASSOCIATED SIMULATOR TESTING AND THE COMPANY’S ENGINEERING TEST FLIGHT.BOEING - NOW PROVIDING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO ADDRESS FAA REQUESTS THAT INCLUDE DETAIL ON HOW PILOTS INTERACT WITH THE AIRPLANE CONTROLS.BOEING - DEVELOPED ENHANCED TRAINING AND EDUCATION MATERIALS THAT ARE NOW BEING REVIEWED WITH THE FAA, GLOBAL REGULATORS, AND AIRLINE CUSTOMERS.BOEING - ONCE FAA'S REQUESTS ARE ADDRESSED, WILL WORK WITH FAA TO SCHEDULE ITS CERTIFICATION TEST FLIGHT AND SUBMIT FINAL CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION.BOEING -ALSO GIVING INFORMATION TO ADDRESS FAA REQUESTS INCLUDING DETAIL ON HOW PILOTS INTERACT WITH AIRPLANE DISPLAYS IN DIFFERENT FLIGHT SCENARIOS.
