Name Description

Gary Haroian

Mr. Gary E. Haroian is Chairman of the Board of Brightcove Inc. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for several public software companies, as well as serving on the board of numerous end new role of Chairman of the Board. Since joining the board in 2014, Gary has been a valued board member, and his insight and counsel has helped make Brightcove a better company. With a long and distinguished technology career that includes extensive operational and public company board experience, Gary has brought valuable perspective and expertise to Brightcove’s board. I look forward to his continued contribution in this new role.” Haroian has held numerous senior executive positions throughout his career, including serving as the chief financial officer of Bowstreet and Concord Communications and as chief executive officer of Stratus Computer. In addition, he currently serves on the board of directors of Aspen Technologies and EnerNOC, and has previously served on the boards of directors of A123 Systems, Network Engines, Unica Corporation, Phase Forward, Authorize.Net Holdings and Embarcadero Technologies.

Hugh Ray

Mr. Hugh Jefferson (Jeff) Ray is Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. He served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of Ellucian Company L.P., a software and service provider to the higher education community, from 2014 to 2017. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Ray served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ventyx, Inc., which was acquired by ABB Ltd in 2014. Mr. Ray holds a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Finance from Texas A&M University. Mr. Ray was selected to serve on our Board due to the perspective and experience he brings as our Chief Executive Officer and his prior experience as an executive in the information technology services industry.

Robert Noreck

Mr. Robert Noreck is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Principal Financial Officer of the Company. He has served as our Senior Vice President, Finance and Sales Operations since July 2017. From October 2013 through May 2016, Mr. Noreck served as our Vice President, Finance. From January 2011 through September 2013, Mr. Noreck served as our Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. From June 2016 through January 2017, Mr. Noreck served as the Executive Vice President, Finance for FloSports, Inc., a provider of live digital sports and original content. Mr. Noreck holds a B.S. in Finance from Binghampton University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.

Jon Corley

Mr. Jon Corley is Senior Vice President - Product and Operations of Brightcove Inc., since January 2014. From June 2013 through January 2014, Mr. Corley was the Chief Product Officer at Unicorn Media, Inc., a provider of cloud video ad insertion technology. From May 2011 through June 2013, Mr. Corley was the Director, Software Development, Amazon Elastic Transcoder, at Amazon Web Services, Inc., a provider of remote computing services. From August 2009 through May 2011, Mr. Corley was the Chief Technology Officer at iMemories, Inc., a cloud-based storage and streaming service. From August 2005 through August 2009, Mr. Corley was Vice President, Software Development, at Limelight Networks, Inc., a content delivery network. Mr. Corley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University.

Neil Lieberman

Mr. Neil Lieberman is Chief Marketing Officer of Brightcove Inc. Lieberman has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and business development for a wide range of software and technology companies. Most recently, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer for VFA, a provider of cloud-based facilities capital planning software and services. Previously, as the Executive Director of Unified Communications at AT&T, Mr. Lieberman led the development and launch of the company's first cloud-based communications service. Prior to AT&T, he served as the Vice President of Marketing at Interwise, where he drove revenue growth and strategic partnerships that led to the company's acquisition by AT&T. Lieberman has held other senior level positions at Intralinks, Monitor Company, Lotus Development Corporation and Information Resources. He received his BS degree from Princeton University and holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tomer Azenkot

Mr. Tomer Azenkot is Vice President - Americas Media Sales of the Company. Azenkot joined Brightcove in 2014 to lead the team in Asia and to expand Brightcove's presence in the region. During his time leading operations in Asia, Azenkot established Brightcove as the industry leader in the APAC region. He brings extensive knowledge and experience in the media and entertainment industry, along with an impressive record of building strong partnerships and relationships with large media companies. Prior to joining Brightcove, Azenkot was the general manager for Asia Pacific at Dalet Digital Media Systems, and held various sales engineering, product and project management positions in technology companies in the media space.

Charles Chu

Mr. Charles Chu is Chief Product Officer of the Company. Charles Chu joins Brightcove from PTC, where he served as Head of Global R&D for the software company's 2,000+ engineers. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at IBM in a variety of senior roles, including leading the company's move into Cloud Integration offerings and driving double digit growth in its commerce group. Before IBM, Chu held executive management and sales roles at Test-Rite Products Corporation. Chu also served as a strategic management consultant for Braxton Associates after graduating from George Washington University.

Diane Hessan

Ms. Diane Hessan is Director of the company. Hessan is currently Chairman of C Space, an innovative market research company that was sold to Omnicom in 2011. During her 13 years as CEO, she led C Space in achieving exponential growth, building an organization of over 500 people with offices in 12 countries and “a Blue Chip client list that would make a Madison Avenue giant jealous,” according to Advertising Age. She has extensive experience serving on boards, including Panera, Eastern Bank, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Mass Challenge, and Tufts University. She co-authored the Business Week best seller Customer-Centered Growth with Richard Whiteley, which examined how today’s successful companies are achieving explosive growth. She has received numerous business awards and, in her spare time, founded The Sound Bytes, an a cappella group that sings about business. Hessan earned an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.

Deborah Besemer

Ms. Deborah M. Besemer is Independent Director of Brightcove Inc. Ms. Besemer currently serves on the board of Gemvara Inc., an e-commerce designer jewelry company. From May 2009 until March 2010, Ms. Besemer held the position of CEO of Gemvara Inc. From 1999 to 2006, Ms. Besemer served as President and CEO of BrassRing, a provider of talent management solutions. Ms. Besemer had no full time employment between leaving BrassRing in 2006 and joining Gemvara in 2009. From December 1997 to July 1998, Ms. Besemer held the position of President of Systemsoft Corporation, a software company, and from June 1986 to November 1997 she was employed by Lotus Development Corporation, a software company, most recently as Executive Vice-President of Worldwide Field Operations. She has served on the board of Double-Take Software, Inc., a provider of information availability software, and several private software companies, including My Perfect Gig, a human resources software company, Bullhorn, a recruiting software company, Kubisoft, Inc., a collaborative software company, Systemsoft Corporation and Eprise Corporation, a talent management solutions company. She is a former Chairperson of the Massachusetts Software Council (now known as the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council) and served on their Board of Trustees for nine years. Ms. Besemer holds a B.A. in French from Cedar Crest College and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

Kristin Frank

Ms. Kristin Frank is Independent Director of the Company. Ms. Frank's career spanned 23 years at Viacom. From 2015 to 2017, she served as Chief Operating Officer of MTV, combining her background as both a creative and business driver to lead MTV's revenue growth, operations and long-term strategic planning initiatives. Previously, from 2013 to 2015, Ms. Frank served as Executive Vice President of Viacom Music and Entertainment's Connected Content Division, with general management responsibilities for MTV, VH1 and LOGO TV. From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Frank served as General Manager for MTV and VH1 Digital where she was instrumental to MTV's growth to 210 million fans on Facebook. From 2005 to 2009 she served as Chief Operating Officer at LOGO TV. Ms. Frank currently serves on the Board of Gaia, Inc., a global digital video streaming subscription service and community. She received her BBA in Finance from the University of Iowa.

Derek Harrar

Mr. Derek Harrar is Independent Director of Brightcove Inc. Mr. Harrar currently serves on the board of Grass Valley USA, LLC, a global provider of technology solutions for the broadcast, production and media distribution industries. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Harrar served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Video, at Comcast Cable Communications, LLC. From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Harrar was Vice President, Video Product Management at Comcast Cable. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Harrar was Vice President, Subscriber Equipment at Comcast Cable. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Harrar was Vice President, Business Development at Comcast Cable. Prior to joining Comcast Cable, Mr. Harrar was Co-Founder and Vice President, Business Development at MegaSense, Inc., a developer of photonic micro-modules and micro-subsystems, from 2001 to 2003 and an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in Silicon Valley, California and New York, New York from 1993 to 2000. Mr. Harrar has a B.S. in Administration and Accounting from Washington and Lee University.

Scott Kurnit

Mr. Scott P. Kurnit is Independent Director of Brightcove Inc. Mr. Kurnit founded AdKeeper, Inc., now known as Keep Holdings, Inc., an online advertising and ecommerce company, in 2010 and is currently its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding Keep Holdings, Mr. Kurnit founded and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of About, Inc., an online resource company. Mr. Kurnit serves on the boards of Keep Holdings and The Paley Center for Media, an organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of media. Mr. Kurnit holds a B.A. in sociology and communications from Hampshire College.

Thomas Wheeler

Mr. Thomas E. Wheeler is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Wheeler has extensive experience in both the public and private telecommunications sector. He is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution and is a Shorenstein Fellow for Media and Democracy at the Harvard Kennedy School. Mr. Wheeler served as the Chairman of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) from 2013 to 2017, and immediately prior to this appointment served on President Obama's Intelligence Advisory Board. Prior to his government service, Mr. Wheeler was Managing Director at Core Capital Partners, a venture capital firm investing in early stage IP-based companies. Also in the private sector, he is CEO of the Shiloh Group, a strategy development and private investment company specializing in telecommunications services. As a testament to the breadth and scope of his contributions, Mr. Wheeler is the only person to be selected to both the Cable Television Hall of Fame and the Wireless Hall of Fame. Mr. Wheeler received his BA from The Ohio State University, where he was a recipient of its Alumni Medal.
