Name Description

Olivier Steimer

Mr. Olivier Steimer is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since October 30, 2002. He is Chairman of the Remuneration, Promotion and Nomination Committee, as well as Member of the Innovation and Opportunities and the temporary ad-hoc Committees. After completing his university studies and a number of banking and finance internships, he joined Credit Suisse, where from 1983 onwards he was appointed to progressively increasing levels of responsibility as Head of the Nyon branch office, and then Head of Investment Advisory Services in Lausanne. He held several positions in Los Angeles, New York and Zurich, and worked in the fields of wealth management and credit and financing services for both Swiss and foreign clients. In 1995, he was given overall responsibility for Credit Suisse’s Geneva region and was appointed member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Private Banking at Zurich headquarters in 1997. In 2001, he was named CEO of the Private Banking International Division and joined the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Financial Services. The following year, he was appointed member of the Credit Suisse Group Executive Board. He further serves as Member of the Board of Directors at CFF, Ace Limited, Renault Finance SA, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Banque Piguet & Cie SA, among others. He obtained Law degree from Lausanne University.

Pascal Kiener

Mr. Pascal Kiener is Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since May 1, 2008. He was Chief Financial Officer until May 1, 2008. He also serves as Member of the Company's Risk Management Committee, Chairman of Asset and Liabilisty Management Committee, Member of Credit Committee and Information Technology Committee. Between 1985 and 1991, he worked as Engineer for companies such as Fides Informatics in Zurich and Hewlett Packard in Geneva. In 1993, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Company. In 2000, he was made Partner and Member of the Management Committee of McKinsey Switzerland. He further serves as Member of the Board of Directors at the Swiss Bankers Association and the Union of Swiss Cantonal Banks, as well as Board positions at a number of Switzerland-based bodies. He got a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, in 1985, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, in 1992.

Paul-Andre Sanglard

Dr. Paul-Andre Sanglard is Vice Chairman of the Board of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since April 21, 2016. He is Member of the Audit Committee. In 1978 and 1979, he was a research fellow at Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After working as an assistant in the Department of Political Economy at Universite de Geneve, he was employed as an economist in the Swiss Federal Office of External Economic Affairs from 1977 to 1978. In 1979, he was appointed Head of Jura Canton’s public revenue office. He became a lecturer on public finance at the University of Geneva in 1982, and between 1984 and 1989, he was a member of the World Economic Forum Executive Committee. He further serves as Chairman at the Boards of Groupe Vaudoise Assurances and the Banque Cantonale du Jura, and as Member of the Board of Directors of Compagnie d’assurances TSM, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Compagnie Benjamin de Rothschild SA, Meyrin, Helvea SA and QNB Banque Privee, among others. He has been a freelance economist since 1989. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics with a specialization in political economy from the Universite de Geneve.

Thomas Paulsen

Mr. Thomas W. Paulsen is Member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer and Head of the Finance & Risks Division of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since January 1, 2009. He is Chairman of the Company's Risk Management Committee and Member of the Asset and Liabilities Management and Information Technology Committees. He joined BCV in July 2002 as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), and in this capacity created and led the Risk Management Department. He worked at Electricite de Laufenbourg between 1992 and 1995. In 1995, he joined Mc Kinsey & Company in Geneva. Later on, he joined European Risk Management Practice in 2000. He also served as Chairman of the Swiss Cantonal Bank Issuing Committee, Chairman of the Foundation Board of the “Caisse de pensions de la Banque Cantonale Vaudoise”, Member of the Board of Directors and the Audit and Risk Committee of Piguet Galland & Cie SA, and among others. He holds a Bachelors degree in economics from Universite de Lausanne in 1988, a Masters degree in economics from London School of Economics in 1989 and a Doctorate in economics from Universite de Lausanne in 1992.

Stefan Bichsel

Mr. Stefan Bichsel is Member of the Executive Board and Head of the Asset Management & Trading Division of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since May 1, 2009. He is Member of Company's Risk Management Committee. Having obtained a degree in law and being qualified as a lawyer in Switzerland, He started his career at UBS and was admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut before joining Pctet & Cie in Geneva. In 1994, He was appointed CEO of Swissca Holding AG (currently Swisscanto), a investment and fund management company. Between 1998 and 2001 he served as Chairman of the Board of the Swiss Funds Association (SFA) and from 2002 as Member of the Management Board in charge of the international activities of Robeco Group (Netherlands). From 2003 to 2005 he chaired the European Fund and Asset Management Association. He also served as Chairman of the “Fonds de prévoyance en faveur du personnel de la BCV”, Member of the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee of the Vaud Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Swiss Bankers Association, Member of the Board of the Geneva Financial Center Foundation and among others. He obtained Master of Laws (LL.M) from Georgetown University in Washington DC in 1986, Admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut in 1987, and Advanced Management Program at the Wharton Business School, Philadelphia, in 1994.

Gerard Haeberli

Mr. Gerard Haeberli is Member of the Executive Board and Head of the Private Banking Division of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since July 1, 2009. He is Member of Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO). He joined Credit Suisse in 1985, where he spent his career until 30 June 2009. From 1987, he held responsibilities in private banking in Yverdon-les-Bains and then worked in Zurich before being transferred to the United States, where he worked in New York and Miami. In 1994 he was transferred to Lausanne, where he took over responsibility for an international desk for Credit Suisse Private Banking. In 1998 he was put in charge of the Vaud region, and became head of Private Banking for all of French-speaking Switzerland in 2000. His responsibilities were extended in 2006 to include all of Credit Suisse’s business lines in French-speaking Switzerland. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Piguet Galland & Cie SA, Member of the Board of the Institute for Studies in Finance and Banking (ISFB). He obtained Degree in economics (with a specialization in business administration) from the Business and Economics Faculty of Lausanne University in 1983. and Certificates from the International Bankers School in New York, Harvard Business School in Boston and IMD in Lausanne.

Christian Meixenberger

Mr. Christian Meixenberger is Member of the Executive Board at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since January 01, 2017. From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Meixenberger worked as a software engineer at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) in Neuchatel before joining Credit Suisse in Geneva, where he was in charge of business processes and IT. In 1997, he became head of IT at Banque Cantonale de Fribourg. He was then appointed to that bank’s Executive Board as head of the Services Division in 2000.

Bertrand Sager

Mr. Bertrand Sager is Member of the Executive Board and Head of Credit Management of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since February 15, 2010. In this capacity, he heads the Credit Management Division of the Bank (BCV). He is Chairman of the Company's Credit Committee and Member of the Risk Committee. Sager started his career in the credit department of Credit Suisse in 1991, prior to joining BCV in 1998. As Head of the Special Affairs department he lead the restructuring of BCV's credit portfolio, hence lowering the number of credits on the Bank's balance sheets. In 2008 he joined the Executive Board's Credit Committee. He further serves as Member of the Founding Committee of BCV's pension fund, as Committee member of the Chambre Vaudoise Immobiliere and as member of the Board of Directors of GEP SA, among others. He obtained Master of Law from Lausanne University in 1990. and Advanced Management Certificate from INSEAD in Fontainebleau in 2007.

Jean-Francois Schwarz

Mr. Jean-Francois Schwarz is Member of the Executive Board and Head of Corporate Banking of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since March 1, 2003. He is also Member of the Risk Management Committee, Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO), Credit Committee. at the Company. In 1976, Mr. Schwarz joined BCV’s Commercial Division. He subsequently became assistant to the Head of Division, and later on client advisor for business loans, trade finance and export credits. From 1986 onwards, he worked for Credit Suisse in Lausanne, New York, Zurich, Geneva and Sion. He was in charge of five regions for Credit Suisse as Head of Corporate Clients for French-speaking Switzerland before returning to BCV in 2003. He further serves as Member of the Board of Directors at Defi Developpement-Finance Holding SA and Member of the Executive Committee at Developpement economique vaudois, among others. He holds a degree in Economics (with a major in business administration) from the Economics and Business Administration Faculty of Universite de Lausanne.

Jose Sierdo

Mr. Jose Francois Sierdo is Member of the Executive Board, Head of Retail Banking of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since March 3, 2014. He is Member of Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO), Credit Committee, and Information Technology Committee at the Company. He began his banking career in 1993 in retail banking at UBS. He went on to do project finance in New York and lending in Zurich, before working at Lombard Odier & Cie from 1998 to 2002. He then returned to UBS, where he held key managerial positions in retail, private and corporate banking, including: Head of Private Banking for French-speaking Switzerland, CEO of UBS Luxembourg and Head of Corporate Clients for Switzerland. Before becoming a banker, he was a military pilot and a member of the Swiss Surveillance Wing. He holds a degree in economics and business administration from the Business and Economics Faculty of Lausanne University in 1992 and MBA from IMD in Lausanne in 2001.

Jack G. N. Clemons

Mr. Jack G. N. Clemons is Member of Board of Director at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since April 21, 2016. He started his career in auditing and subsequently became a partner at Deloitte. He then served as Chief Operating and Financial Officer for a pan- European internet group. In 2006, Mr. Clemons joined Lausanne-based Bata, a leading global manufacturer and retailer of footwear, as Chief Financial Officer, he was later appointed Chief Executive Officer, a position he held until 2015.

Ingrid Deltenre

Ms. Ingrid Deltenre is Member of the Board of Directors at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since May 1, 2014. Previously she held various executive positions in publishing before becoming CEO of Publisuisse in 2000. She was appointed to head up Schweizer Fernsehen (SF), the leading public TV broadcaster in German-speaking Switzerland, in 2004, and held this position for six years. In 2010, she became Director General of the Geneva-based European Broadcasting Union (EBU), an organization with close to 400 employees. She also served as President of Eurovision Americas Inc (an EBU subsidiary) Member of the University of Zurich’s Executive MBA advisory board Member of the Board of Directors of Givaudan SA, Vernier. She obtained Degree in humanities from the University of Zurich.

Reto Donatsch

Mr. Reto Donatsch is Member of the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since May 6, 2011. He is Member of Audit Committee. He started his career in the wealth management business at Credit Suisse in 1978. He first worked at the head office in Zurich, where he stayed for ten years and reached the rank of Deputy Director. In 1989, he was promoted to Director and head of the Finance Department of Credit Suisse Geneva. He joined Bank Leu AG, Zurich, in 1993 and became CEO in 1996. He also served on the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Private Banking from 1997 to 2001, representing the Group’s independent banks. From 2004 to 2007, he was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Leu AG. Since then, he has served on the boards of several companies and foundations. He also serves as Member of the Board of Directors of Constellation Capital AG, Partner at Constellation Flore Froehlich & Cie, Freienbach, Member of the Investment Committee of the Bern Canton Pension Fund, Board member of the Swiss Red Cross Humanitarian Foundation, Bern. He studied Economics at the Universite de Geneve.

Luc Recordon

Mr. Luc Recordon is Member of the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since February 1, 2002. He is also Member of the Remuneration, Promotion and Nominating Committee, the innovation and opportunities committee and of the temporary ad-hoc committee responsible for legal procedures within the Company. He worked as a lawyer for the Federal Office for Spatial Planning in 1980-1981 and spent the next two years as a sales engineer with Granit SA in Lausanne before setting up his own legal and technical consultancy. He was admitted to the Bar in 1989 after two years as a trainee lawyer and was subsequently made a partner in a Lausanne law firm. He also serves as Member of the Board of Directors of SEG Swiss Education Group SA, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Tunnel-Riponne, Chairman of the committee of the Association romande pour le developpement et l’integration des medecines complémentaires (RoMédCo), and among others. He holds a Doctorate in Law from Universite de Lausanne and is member of the Bar of Vaud Canton. He also holds a degree in Physics and a certificate in Business Management, both from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.

Peter Ochsner

Mr. Peter Ochsner is Member of the Supervisory Board at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise since July 01, 2016. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers S.A. in 1982 after gaining experience in the Internal Audit & Organization Department of the Swiss National Bank. He served on PwC’s management board, and headed the firm’s auditing practice in Switzerland from 2006 to 2014. Mr. Ochsner is a Swiss-Certified Accountant and, while at PwC, was a lead bank auditor. He has extensive experience with clients in the banking and insurance industries, both in Switzerland and internationally. Mr. Ochsner retired from PwC in 2014.
