Name Description

Patrick Morley

Mr. Patrick Morley serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of the Company. Patrick Morley has led Carbon Black as president and chief executive officer since 2007. Under his direction, the company has grown from a startup into the market share leader in Next-Generation Endpoint Security. Today, Carbon Black has approximately 2,000 worldwide customers, including 25 of the Fortune 100 and nearly 500 employees. Morley drove the effort to merge Bit9 with Carbon Black in 2014, which resulted in the industry’s most complete endpoint solution, providing organizations of all types and sizes with the Visibility, Detection, Prevention and Response capabilities they need to protect information from advanced threats and targeted attacks. Carbon Black was voted Best Endpoint Protection by security professionals in the SANS Institute’s Best of 2014 Awards. And a 2015 SANS survey found that 68 percent of IR professionals are using or evaluating Carbon Black. Morley has more than a decade of security industry experience. Previously, he was president and CEO of Imprivata Corporation, a leading provider of authentication, access management and secure communication. He has held senior leadership positions with six venture-backed software companies, including three that had successful IPOs. As chief operating officer of Corel, he led the company’s global sales, marketing and operations functions for the Americas, EMEA and Asia. Morley played a significant leadership role in the company’s turnaround, acquisition strategy and eventual IPO. He also held senior management positions at Macromedia, Allaire, Rational Software and SQA.

Mark Sullivan

Mr. Mark P. Sullivan serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mark Sullivan leads Carbon Black’s finance and administration organization. He has more than 25 years of financial management and executive leadership experience, most recently as executive vice president and CFO of AspenTech, a publicly traded $440 million software company. He also spent 14 years with Fidelity Investments, where his positions included executive vice president and CFO for Fidelity Employer Services Company, a multi-billion dollar business. Sullivan’s previous positions include chief operating officer for Westerbeke Corporation, consulting manager at Coopers & Lybrand,and financial leadership roles with Analog Devices.

Thomas Hansen

Mr. Thomas Hansen is Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Prior to that, Mr. Hansen served as Global Vice President of Revenue of Dropbox, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. From 2001 to 2015, Mr. Hansen served in a variety of roles at Microsoft Corporation, including Worldwide Vice President of Small and Medium Business from 2010 to 2015, Worldwide General Manager of Distribution from 2009 to 2010, Regional General Manager from 2007 to 2009 and Regional Director from 2001 to 2006. Mr. Hansen holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.

Ryan Polk

Mr. Ryan Polk is Senior Vice President, Chief Product Officer of the Company. Mr. Polk has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer since January 2017. From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Polk served as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Product Management at CA Technologies' Agile Management. Prior to that, Mr. Polk held a variety of roles at Rally Software Development Corp. until its acquisition by CA Technologies, including VP of Product Management from 2014 to 2015 and Transformation Consultant from 2011 to 2014. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Polk served as Director of Engineering and Enterprise Agile Coach of WMS Gaming, a subsidiary of WMS Industries, Inc. Mr. Polk holds a B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Michael Viscuso

Mr. Michael Viscuso serves as Chief Technology Officer of the Company. Michael Viscuso drives the development of Carbon Black’s long-term company and product strategy. He was cofounder and chief executive officer of Carbon Black, which merged with Bit9 in February 2014. A business-minded technologist, Viscuso is known for his drive and sense of mission and is highly regarded in the Computer Network Operations community as a top mind in offensive security. He cofounded Carbon Black in 2011 to provide organizations with unmatched protection, detection and incident response capabilities. Prior to the merger with Bit9, Viscuso led Carbon Black’s rapid rise and brand recognition in the market.

Roman Brozyna

Mr. Roman Brozyna serves as Chief Information Security Officer of the Company. Roman Brozyna is responsible for all security operations for Carbon Black. He joined the company from Draper Laboratory, where he was CISO/director of information security. Prior to that, Brozyna was vice president, threat and vulnerability management – information security at CIT Group. Earlier, he worked in multiple roles for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York including information security. Brozyna holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as several GIAC certifications.

Brad Rinklin

Mr. Brad Rinklin is Chief Marketing Officer of the Company. Rinklin joins Carbon Black after spending more than two years as CMO at Eze Software, an investment software company, where he drove brand strategy, messaging, thought leadership, corporate communications, demand generation and events. Prior to Eze Software, Rinklin held multiple leadership roles (including CMO and SVP of Global Alliances) at Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM), one of the world's largest distributed computing platforms responsible for serving between 15% and 30% of all web traffic.

Vanessa Pegueros

Mr. Vanessa Pegueros is Director of the company. Pegueros joins the board as Paul Maeder, General Partner and Founder of Highland Capital Partners LLC, vacates his seat. Maeder has served as a member of Carbon Black's board of directors since September 2015, after an initial stint from 2006 to 2011, offering valued guidance through key company milestones, including its 2018 IPO.

Jill Ward

Ms. Jill Ward is Director of the company. Ward recently served as President, COO, and CEO-elect of Fleetmatics and was previously VP and SVP/General Manager at Intuit. Prior to Intuit, Ward was division president at Telespectrum. She has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and a BA from Wellesley College. She currently serves on the boards at Hubspot and non-profit MicroLoan Foundation USA, and is an Operating Partner to Lead Edge Capital. She previously served on the board of Adaptive Insights, acquired by Workday.
