Name Description

James Burns

Mr. James F. C. Burns is Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. James Burns has spent most of his career as a private equity investor, manager of investments and operator. Mr. Burns has been involved in all aspects of corporate investing including financial structuring, capital management and operations. Mr. Burns was a partner at the Gordon Investment Corporation whose major shareholders included Gordon Capital Corporation, GE Capital, Kuwait Investment Office, Yasuda Trust and Banking, CIBC and Hutchison Whampoa (Li Ka-shing). There, Mr. Burns was responsible for Gordon Capital's Investment in Specialty Equipment, Sound Warehouse, Empire Realty Credit Corp., CanCap Equity, Windmill Bakeries, and Shepherd Manufacturing. Mr. Burns was previously a Managing Director at CIBC Wood Gundy, responsible for leveraging the banks loans in merchant banking opportunities. Mr. Burns also served as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of Scott's Restaurants, and spent 12 years in and around the Federal Government of Canada, including as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada.

Matthew Rudd

Mr. Matthew Rudd is Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of the Company. He moves into the role of CFO from being the Company's Vice President, Finance - after joining the Company in 2014. Mr. Rudd is a Chartered Accountant formerly of KPMG LLP (Edmonton). He is Vice President, Finance, Liquor Stores (October 2014 to July 2016); Senior Manager at KPMG LLP (Sept 2012 to October 2014; Manager at KPMG LLP (Sept 2010 to Sept 2012).

David Gordey

Mr. David Gordey is Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Canada of the Company. He has previously served as the company's vice-president, finance, and has been a member of the Liquor Stores management team since 2012. He is a chartered accountant, formerly of KPMG LLP (Edmonton), who brings to his position a wealth of experience in public company financial reporting and senior leadership.

Paul Reid

Mr. Paul Reid is President and Chief Operating Officer - liquor division of the Company. Reid most recently was vice-president, corporate retail operations, at FGL Sports, where he was responsible for $1.2-billion of sales from 216 corporate retail stores and 13,000 sales associates for the Sport Chek, Nevada Bob's Golf, Atmosphere and Hockey Experts banners. Mr. Reid started with Sport Chek as a part-time associate while pursuing his postsecondary education and progressed up the organization over 27 years. He was involved with all aspects of retail excellence, including field operations, marketing, store operations, customer service, communications, business analytics and digital store experience. Amongst many other recognition, Mr. Reid was the recipient of the FGL Sports president, game changer and leadership awards.

Paul Wilson

Mr. Paul D. Wilson is President and Chief Operating Officer - Cannabis Division of the Company. Mr. Wilson's major career milestones over his 30 years as a retailer include chief executive officer and president roles at Mark's Work Wearhouse, Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, Spence Diamonds, and, most recently, Hold it All and Kit and Ace.

Steve Rop

Mr. Steve Rop is an Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, United States of the Company. He joined with the responsibility to review and refine the Company's logistics, supply chain as well as planning infrastructure. Steve joins Liquor Stores from Liquidity Services Inc. (LSI), where he most recently served as Vice President, Client Services and Business Development. In that role, Steve was responsible for designing, implementing and managing transformative supply chain and operational improvement solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining LSI, Steve gained valuable industry experience as Director of Global Supply Chain for Total Wine and More.

C. Lieske Renz

Ms. C. Lieske Renz is Senior Vice President – Shared Service (Talent, Technology and Org Excellence) of the Company. Her mandate is to provide leadership and coordination of company-wide Human Resources functions and develop and implement corporate Human Resources strategy and programs. Lieske was most recently with YUM Restaurants International (YRI) where she served as Senior Director, Human Resources. YRI manages KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in 123 countries via 20 business units comprised of both franchise and corporate ownership models, representing more than 14,000 restaurants and 350,000 employees. Prior to joining YUM, Lieske held several progressive positions for Swissotel Management Corporation, Sheraton Premiere, and the Ritz Carlton. (Talent, Technology & Org Excellence).

Jim Yaworski

Mr. Jim Yaworski is Senior Vice President - Construction and Design of the Company, since July 14, 2014. He has been served as Director of Construction, Liquor Stores (2008 to July 2014).

Mr. Matthew Hewson is Vice President, General Counsel of the company. He is Director, Legal Affairs of Liquor Stores (April 2013 to April 2016); Associate, Miller Thomson LLP (July 2010 to April 2013).

Bernadette Kollman

Ms. Bernadette Kollman is Director of the Company. Bernie brings over 30 years (1986-2016) of experience from various roles with IBM Canada Ltd., including being the Vice President, Public Sector, Alberta and Senior Location Executive for Edmonton. She also founded and Co-Chaired (2005-2016) the IBM Alberta Centre for Advanced Studies. Bernie is a passionate leader who is dedicated to building a stronger community both economically and socially. She is currently the Board Chair of Travel Alberta, serving on its Board since 2013. Additionally, she is a Board member of United Way, Alberta Capital Region; a Board member of Edmonton Global; Chair of a MacKay CEO Forum; an Advisory Board member for Arrkann Trailer and RV Center; and serves on the Board of Compute Canada. Bernie is also an Executive Committee member for the Edmonton Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors and a member of the International Women's Forum. She was formerly a Board member and Chair of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and also Chair of the 2007 United Way campaign.

Peter Lynch

Mr. Peter L. Lynch serves as Director of the company. He is a director of NYSE-listed Retail Properties of America, Inc. of Oak Brook, Illinois, a real estate investment trust; he is also Chair of its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and member of its Compensation Committee. Mr. Lynch also serves on the Board of Advisors of Sid Wainer & Son, a private produce and specialty foods company based in New Bedford, Mass. and is a Trustee for Nichols College in Dudley, Mass. From 2004 until 2012 he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., a private, Florida-based retailer with 500 grocery stores, 150 liquor stores and 280 in-store pharmacies throughout the five southeastern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. Before that he was President and Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President-Operations with Boise, Idaho-based Albertson’s, Inc., one of the largest national U.S. retail food and drug chains, comprised of 2,500 stores. Mr. Lynch graduated from Nichols College in Dudley, Mass. in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.

Elise Rees

Ms. Elise Rees is Director of the Company. Ms. Rees is a Vancouver resident with a long professional background advising clients on finances and tax, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Her experience as a partner at a Big 4 accounting firm and ties to the British Columbia community are assets to our Board as we continue to strengthen our liquor business in core markets while deploying our new cannabis stores. Over her career she has been active on a host of corporate and philanthropic boards. Elise is currently on the Board of Enmax Corporation, is the Chair of the Audit Committee of Great Panther Silver Limited, serves on the board of Westland Insurance Company Ltd. and the Armstrong Family Governors Board.

Denis Ryan

Mr. Denis Ryan is Director of the Company, effective as of Aug. 9, 2017. Mr. Ryan's career includes serving as an investment adviser with CIBC Wood Gundy; an executive with BGH Investment Management Ltd.; vice-president, institutional asset management, with Altamira; an investment banking role for Griffiths McBurney and Partners; and a founding partner with Morrison Williams Investment Management Ltd. Mr. Ryan's career also includes serving as co-founder and director of Keeper Resources Inc. as well as serving as a director of Front Street Capital. Other publicly listed past directorships include serving as a member of the board and as a financier of Immunovaccine.

Gary Collins

Mr. Gary M. Collins is Independent Director of Liquor Stores N.A. Ltd. He has been a Senior Advisor at Lazard Ltd., a New York-based, publicly-traded, global financial advisory and asset management firm, since September, 2016. Previously, from February 2015 to September 2016, Mr. Collins was a Senior Advisor at Verus Partners & Co., a closely-held, Toronto-based strategic financial advisory firm. Before that, from August 2012 until May 2014, he was President of Vancouver-based Coastal Contacts Inc., a TSX-listed, leading online direct-to-customer retailer of replacement contact lenses and eye glasses. In May 2014, Coastal was purchased by Essilor International of France for $435 million. From April 2007 to July 2012, Mr. Collins was Senior Vice President of Belkorp Industries Inc. of Vancouver, a private holding company. Prior to that, Mr. Collins was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver-based airline Harmony Airways from 2004 until 2006. From 1991 to 2004, he was a member of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly and held the portfolio of Minister of Finance from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Collins is also a director of TSX-listed companies Chorus Aviation Inc. of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, D-Box Technologies Inc. of Montreal, Quebec, and Rogers Sugar Inc. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Collins was a member of the board of Vancouver-based Catalyst Paper Corp. and served as Chair of the Compensation Committee. From 2007 until 2012, Mr. Collins was a member of the board of Lantic Sugar Limited (a division of Rogers Sugar Inc.).
