Name Description

Theodore Tewksbury

Dr. Theodore L. Tewksbury III, Ph.D., has been re-designated as Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Dr. Tewksbury has been Founder and CEO of Tewksbury Partners, LLC,providing strategic consulting, advisory and board services to private and public technology companies, venture capital and private equity firms, since 2013. He had served as President and Chief Executive Officer (from November 2014) and a director (from September 2010) of Entropic Communications, a public company specializing in semiconductor solutions for the connected home, until its sale to MaxLinear, Inc., another public semiconductor company, in April 2015, and he remains a director of MaxLinear, Inc. He is also a director of Jariet Technologies, a private company specializing in digital microwave integrated circuits for wireless infrastructure, backhaul and military applications. From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Tewksbury had been President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Integrated Device Corporation, a public semiconductor company.

Michael Port

Mr. Michael Harry Port is Chief Financial Officer, Secretary of the Company. Mr. Port has served as the Company’s Controller since July 2015 and served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Secretary from August to December 2016. From 2010 to July 2015, Mr. Port was a consultant with Resources Global Professionals (“RGP”), a multinational professional services firm, during which time he filled roles such as Interim CFO, Controller and Director of External Reporting for industrial and manufacturing customers, including interim Controller of the Company from April to July 2015. Prior to joining Resources Global Professionals, Mr. Port held various senior level executive positions at both private and public companies, including Mork Process, Inc., an international manufacturer of industrial cleaning equipment, Oglebay Norton Company, a great lakes shipping and industrial minerals company and Hitachi Medical Systems of America, a distributor of diagnostic imaging products. He began his career at Ernst & Young, focusing on entrepreneurial growth companies. Mr. Port is CPA and has an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve and a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Larry Fallon

Mr. Larry Fallon is Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing of the Company. Fallon is a lighting and controls industry professional with over thirty years of experience, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales at CIMCON Lighting where he built and led the company's network of direct sales, agents, representatives and distributors. Prior to CIMCON, Fallon served as Vice President of Sales at Sensity Systems where managed the transformation of the company from traditional lighting to networked lighting and data. Before that, Larry held positions as Vice President of Sales at ETi Solid State Lighting and Regional Sales Manager at Lighting Science Group and Acuity Lighting. He previously spent ten years in a variety of sales management positions at Osram-Sylvania, where, among many notable achievements, he was named National Sales Manager of the Year in 2002. Larry earned his BA in Business Administration from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.

Laszlo Takacs

Mr. Laszlo Takacs serves as Chief Technology Officer of the Company. Mr. Takacs is an accomplished engineer, scientist and technology leader with three decades of experience in electronics, lighting and controls. Most recently, he served as Senior Principal Engineer at Soraa, Inc. where he implemented flicker-reducing electronic redesigns across the product portfolio and architected the company's first wireless lighting control systems. Prior to Soraa, Mr. Takacs served as Senior Principal Engineer in Rambus' Lighting and Display Technologies division, where he conducted optoelectronic research as well as led the design and development of lighting electronics across the company's lamp portfolio. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Takacs served as Director of R&D at Energy Focus where he designed and developed our highly successful military IntellitubeTM product, which has shipped over 500,000 units to the U.S. Navy and other customers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Takacs held various engineering and technology management positions, including CTO at GENVAC Aerospace and Director of Engineering at General Vacuum in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the lead researcher for Parallel Computational Electromagnetics at the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, California. Mr. Takacs has authored numerous technical papers and has 17 patents issued and additional patents pending. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Theresa Matrisciano

Theresa Matrisciano is the Vice President of Human Resources of the company. She was Director of Human Resources - July 2013 to October 2013. Prior to joining Energy Focus, Ms. Matrisciano was Director of Human Resources for Weatherchem, a manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions for the food, healthcare and household products industries, from January 2011 to June 2013, and was Manager of Human Resources for Keithley Instruments, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic test and measurement equipment, from April 2009 to December 2010.

Wayne Steinhoff

Mr. Wayne Steinhoff is Chief Revenue Officer of the Company. Steinhoff forged his lighting career at Osram Sylvania. After progressing through a number of sales, marketing and strategic planning roles, he went on to become a member of the senior executive management team, where he held the positions of Global Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Precision Materials & Components Division, President of Osram Sylvania Canada, and Vice President & General Manager of three separate divisions – including the LED Lighting business. He then joined Fawoo LED Technology as North America President & CEO, followed by his appointment as President & CEO of Alternative Lighting Technologies. Most recently, Steinhoff was Principal at GPL Group, where he consulted primarily for LED lighting companies and financial firms that were investing in or acquiring LED lighting companies. Steinhoff is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and of the Babson College Consortium for Executive Development program.

Ronald Black

Dr. Ronald D. Black, Ph.D., has been appointed as Lead Director of the Company, effective December 12, 2016. He is no longer Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company, effective December 12, 2016. He is the Chief Executive Officer and President and a board director of Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS), a Silicon Valley based technology company that develops advanced semiconductor memory and security products, as well as LED lighting technologies. Dr. Black has over 20 years of experience managing businesses and leading companies in the global semiconductor and mobile communications industries. He spent the first ten years of his career at IBM Microelectronics and Motorola Semiconductor Products, and progressed rapidly to general manager and business unit manager roles in both companies. Dr. Black brings to the Energy Focus board extensive leadership, organizational and operating insights from various global high-tech industries. has been a director of the Company since July 2015 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer and President and a director of Rambus Inc., a Silicon Valley based technology company that develops advanced semiconductor memory and security products, as well as LED lighting technologies, since 2012. Dr. Black was the Managing Director of R.D. Black & Company, a consulting firm, from 2011 to 2012.

John Davenport

Mr. John M. Davenport is Director of Energy Focus, Inc. He served as President of the Company. He joined the Company in November 1999 as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, served as the Chief Operating Officer from July 2003 to July 2005, and the Chief Executive Officer from July 2005 until May 2008. Prior to joining Energy Focus, Mr. Davenport served as President of Unison Fiber Optic Lighting Systems, LLC, from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Davenport began his career at GE Lighting in 1972 as a research physicist and thereafter served 25 years in various capacities including GE Lighting’s research and development manager and as development manager for high performance LED projects. He is a recognized expert in light sources, lighting systems and lighting applications, with special emphasis in low wattage discharge lamps, electronic ballast technology and distributed lighting systems. Mr. Davenport received a Master’s degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from John Carroll University.

Glenda Dorchak

Ms. Glenda M. Dorchak is Director of the Company. She is an experienced public board director with extensive operating experience as a corporate executive with leading global technology companies including Intel Corporation and IBM Corporation. Ms. Dorchak has been on the board of Mellanox Technologies (NASDAQ:MLNX) since 2009. She is also an Operating Advisor to OMERS Private Equity and is on the Strategic Advisory Board for BDC Capital Industrial, Clean and Energy Technology Venture Fund. Ms. Dorchak most recently was Executive Vice President of Spansion, Inc., a company that designs, develops and manufactures flash memory microcontrollers, missed-signal and analog products, as well as system-on-chip solutions which was acquired by Cypress Semiconductors in 2014. Ms. Dorchak brings to Energy Focus expertise in scaling up entrepreneurial, technology operations across global markets, as well as a wealth of corporate governance experiences for private and public companies.

Marc Eisenberg

Mr. Marc J. Eisenberg is Director of the Company. He is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of ORBCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ:ORBC), a global provider of machine-to-machine satellite communications offering asset monitoring and messaging services. Mr. Eisenberg was part of a group that purchased ORBCOMM in 2001 when it posted virtually no annual revenues and subsequently became a member of its core management team in restructuring and growing its business to $30 million in annual sales in 2008, when Mr. Eisenberg was appointed the company's Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, ORBCOMM's annual revenues have been growing consistently and are projected to exceed $170 million in 2015. With his track record in building ORBCOMM from an upstart to a market leader, Mr. Eisenberg brings to Energy Focus extensive experience in global marketing, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions.

William Cohen

Mr. William Cohen is an Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Cohen has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dillon Yarn Corporation since February 2011, and President from October 1996 to February 2011. Dillon Yarn Corporation manufactures and globally distributes filament yarns, fabrics, flake, chip, staple fiber and non-woven fabric to many segments of the textile industry, including medical, technical, industrial, automotive, home furnishing and apparel. Mr. Cohen is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Oral Health Care LLC, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GAWI, LLC d/b/a Arctic Ease, a Partner in Fabricated Metals and Commodore Factors, and President of Morristown Helicopter Services Inc. He is a member of the Tel Aviv University Board of Governors and Chairman Emeritus of American Friends of Tel Aviv University. Mr. Cohen attended C.W. Post of Long Island University.

Xin He

Mr. Xin (Adam) He is an Independent Director of the Energy Focus, Inc. Mr. He has served as Chief Financial Officer of Wanda America Investment Holding Co. since May 2012, and as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at a Wanda Group member, AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., from May 2012 to February 2015. AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. is a publicly traded company principally involved in the theatrical exhibition business; owning and operating theatres primarily located in the United States. From December 2010 to May 2012, he served as Financial Controller of Xinyuan Real Estate Co., a publicly traded developer of large scale, high quality residential real estate projects. From August 2009 to December 2010, Mr. He served as Chief Financial Officer of China International Transportation Holding Group, a passenger transportation and logistics company. Previously, Mr. He served as an auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP, and held various roles at a textile trading corporation. Mr. He obtained a Master of Science in Taxation from Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Seton Hall University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Michael Ramelot

Mr. Michael Ramelot is a Independent Director of Energy Focus, Mr. Ramelot has been a consultant since 2002 on many projects, including serving as project leader on BlackLine system implementations to enhance the financial close process of several multi-million dollar companies; serving as project leader on due diligence, accounting valuations and appraisals related to acquisitions; researching and preparing position papers for companies on complex accounting issues; preparing various SEC filings; and assessing and implementing compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley at several companies. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Ramelot served as the President and Chief Financial Officer and as the Chief Financial Officer of Compro Packaging LLC. Mr. Ramelot received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from St. Mary’s College. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Thomas Swidarski

Mr. Thomas W. Swidarski is an Independent Director of Energy focus Inc., Mr. Swidarski has served as the non-executive chairman of Asurint, a privately held company in the background verification industry, since January 2014. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Altra Industrial Motion Corp., a publically traded $700 million leading global designer, producer and marketer of a wide range of electromechanical power transmission products. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Evertec, Inc., a publicly traded $380 million leading electronic payment processing company headquartered in Puerto Rico. Mr. Swidarski previously served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Diebold Incorporated, a $3 billion global leader in designing, manufacturing and distributing self-service ATMs in over 100 countries, from December 2005 to January 2013. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer and President, Mr. Swidarski served in various capacities including Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Financial Self-Service Group, and held various strategic development and marketing positions at Diebold since joining the company in 1996. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from the University of Dayton.
