Name Description

Gabriele Galateri di Genola

Dr. Gabriele Galateri di Genola serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Assicurazioni Generali SpA. He was reappointed Chair by the AGM on 7 May 2019 and his entry into the office will be effective when the new article 29.1 of the Articles of association will enter into force. He holds a degree in Law and an MBA from Columbia University. He was appointed CEO of IFIL in 1986 and CEO and General Manager of IFI in 1993; subsequently, in 2002, he was appointed CEO of Fiat. From 2003 to June 2007 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mediobanca. From 2003 to 2010 he was Vice-Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of Generali. From 2007 to 2011 he was Chairman of Telecom Italia S.p.A., where he was a member of the Board of Directors until April 2014.

Philippe Donnet

Mr. Philippe Roger Donnet serves as Group Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Country Manager - Italy, Executive Director, Ad Interim Group Chief Insurance Officer of Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni since October 31, 2017. Before joining Generali, Philippe was CEO of the Asia-Pacific region for the AXA Group from 2006, CEO of AXA Japan from 2003, and CEO of AXA for Southern Europe, the Middle East, Canada, and Latin America from 2001. He also served as CEO of AXA RE for two years, and AXA Assicurazioni for three years. Philippe began his career with AXA in France in 1985. Philippe is a member of the Group Management Committee (GMC) of Assicurazioni Generali. He was chairman of AXA Japan from 2006, and also spent two years as chairman of AXA RE ad AXA Corporate Solutions during his time with the company. Philippe is also a co-founder and partner of HLD Private Equity, as well as a certified member of the Institut des Actuaires Français.

Clemente Rebecchini

Dr. Clemente Rebecchini is Vice Chairman of the Board of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. since November 6, 2013. He served as Non-Executive Director of the Company from May 11, 2012 until November 6, 2013. He is Member of the Risk and Control Committee within the Company, and of the Invesments Committee within the Company. After graduating in Business Economics from Universita degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza in 1987, he passed his accountancy qualifying examination in 1988. He has worked for Mediobanca since 1989 and he is currently the central director responsible for the Shareholdings and Special Affairs Division. He is Member of the Board of Italmobiliare S.p.A. Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone

Mr. Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone is Non-Executive Deputy Vice Chairman of the Board of Assicurazioni Generali SpA since April 30, 2010. Prior to his appointment he served as Non-Executive Independent Director of Assicurazioni Generali SpA from April 28, 2007, to April 24, 2010. He also serves as Member of the Executive and Investment Committees of the Company and as Member of the Appointments and Corporate Governance Committee within the Company. After studying engineering he re-launched the family construction business, then extended its activities to the fields of cement and the media. He has been a Director of the Company since April 2007. He is Chairman of Caltagirone S.p.A., Caltagirone Editore S.p.A., Il Messaggero S.p.A., Il Gazzettino S.p.A. and Eurostazioni S.p.A., and Vice-Chairman of Auditorium Musica per Roma. He was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro in 2006.

Cristiano Borean

Mr. Cristiano Borean is Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Since 2015 he has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of Generali France. He joined Generali Head Office in 2003 in the role of Derivatives Trader, becoming in 2004 Fixed Income portfolio and Treasury manager in Generali UK Branch. In 2005 he was appointed Deputy Head of Financial Risk Management Group Project Coordination. In 2006 he was senior analyst in the Asset and Liability Department of Generali France with focusing over savings and pension business. From 2007 he was in charge of the Quantitative Finance and Deputy Head of Strategic Asset Allocation in Generali Head Office. In 2009 he joined Genertel as Head of Non-motor sector becoming in 2012 Head of Products and Services Area. In 2013 he was appointed Group Head of Corporate Finance of Generali Head Office. Cristiano graduated in Physics at University of Trieste, followed by a Ph.D. in Particle Physics with an experiment done at Stanford University. Before joining Generali he did research at CERN in Geneva and at Stanford University.

Luciano Cirina

Mr. Luciano Cirina serves as Chief Executive Officer of Generali CEE Holding B.V., a subsidiary of ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI - SOCIETA PER AZIONI since 2016. In 2007 he was appointed CEO of Generali Versicherung AG in Austria before becoming Head of Generali Holding Vienna. From 2005 to 2006 he was Area Manager at the Company Head Office in Trieste, overseeing activities in Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, Greece, Tunisia and the Middle East. Prior to that, he served as Head of the Corporate Risks Division for Austria and CEE countries in Vienna from 1996 to 2004. Luciano began his career in 1989 with Deutscher Lloyd (Generali Group) in Munich as an Underwriter and later as Chief-Underwriter with responsibility of the Industrial Fire Underwriting Department. He graduated in Business Administration from the University of Trieste in 1988. Luciano was elected President of the Austrian Insurance Association in 2012.

Frederic Marie De Courtois d'Arcollieres

Mr. Frederic Marie De Courtois d'Arcollieres serves as CEO Global Business Lines & International of the Company. Frédéric de Courtois is a graduate of Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris and Institut des Actuaires and the Collège des Ingenieurs in Engineering and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Management. He began his career with CGI Informatique in 1990, before moving to UAP in 1993, which was later merged with AXA in 1996, working within the Finance Department before moving to the Group Controlling Department in 1997. In 2000/01, he became Vice President of AXA Conseil, a sales channel with 1500 employees and coordinated cross-functional projects. He was later, in 2001, to become Deputy CEO of AXA Re, an Axa company dedicated to Reinsurance and Capital Risk, heading the Finance, Legal and Claims areas. In 2003, Frédéric became Chief Financial Officer for AXA Japan before becoming Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AXA Life Japan, with responsibility for Finance, Marketing and Offer. He was appointed Chief Executive officer of AXA Japan & Asia Pacific P&C, in 2006. In 2007, Frédéric returned to Europe where he became AXA MPS Assicurazioni Vita CEO and Chairman of AXA MPS Financial. He was to become Chief Executive Officer for AXA Assicurazioni in July 2013 and later assumed responsibility for their Greek and Serbian markets. He also held the position of board member in AXA Life and Savings board and sponsored AXA’s global business savings and Bancassurance channel. In September 2016 he joined the Generali Group as Chief Executive Officer of Global Business Lines & International which includes responsibility for the Global Business Lines (Europ Assistance, Generali Employee Benefits, Global Corporate & Commercial, Generali Global Health), for Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Guersney, Dubai, Belgium, Netherlands, Asia, Americas & Southern Europe as well as for Bancassurance & Generali Vitality.

Jean-Laurent Granier

Mr. Jean-Laurent Granier serves as Country manager for France and CEO Generali France the Company. Jean-Laurent Granier, graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and Ensae and from the French Institute of Actuaries (Institut des Actuaires). He joined UAP in 1990 then AXA in 1997 and worked in various positions at AXA France. Since January 2010, Granier has been Chief Executive Officer of the Mediterranean and Latin America Region, encompassing 23 countries, and a member of the AXA Executive Committee. From January 2012 to June 2016, Jean-Laurent Granier has been also Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of AXA Global P&C and a member of the AXA Management Committee.

Giovanni Liverani

Mr. Giovanni Liverani serves as Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Generali Deutschland Holding and Country Manager, Germany, a division of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A, since April, 2015. Prior to that, he was since November 2013 the CEO of the region Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which included Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Guernsey, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, the UAE, Turkey and Tunisia. He supported the start-up of the restructuring project at Generali Italia during 2013 as Head of the Business Performance Management Unit Central Europe (Italy, Germany, Switzerland). Between 2006 and 2013 he spent seven years internationally as Area Manager and Head of the Business Coordination Unit for Generali in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. During this period he launched several International group cross border projects like “Canalgrande” and “Customer as an Asset”, aimed at strengthening the customer centricity and distribution power of the Group. In 1993 to 1994, he co-founded Genertel S.p.A., the Italian leader in direct insurance sales, which he developed from policy n. 1 into a large and innovative web insurer in the following years until 2005. Giovanni graduated in Engineering in 1990 at the “Politecnico di Milano” university with a major in industrial technology. He joined the Group Management Committee (GMC) of Assicurazioni Generali in January 2015. Jaime Anchustegui

Mr. Jaime Anchustegui is Group Chief Operations & Insurance Officer of the Company. He was previously EMEA Regional Officer and LatAm Regional Officer, based in São Paulo, Brazil, until March 2015. He launched Generali Seguros in 2010 after being appointed CEO of Generali España in 2008 and presiding over the merger of local subsidiaries, Vitalicio Seguros and Estrella Seguros, of which he had been General Manager since 2006 and 2008 respectively. In 2003 Jaime was appointed Regional Manager for Latin America after having been General Manager of Generali Mexico since 2000. He was head of the Administration and Finance Department at Generali Peru from 1994, having joined the Generali Group in 1993, after taking an Executive Master in Business Administration at Madrid’s IE Business School in 1992. Since 2015 he has been member of the board in Turkey, Greece and Belgium and Chairmen of the Board of Directors in Spain, Switzerland and Austria. Jamie began his professional career as an engineer with Unieco, an engineering design corporation, when he graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, followed by an MBA at Madrid’s IE Business School.

Timothy Ryan

Mr. Timothy Ryan serves as Group Chief Investment Officer at ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI - SOCIETA PER AZIONI since December 1, 2017. After graduating with a PhD in Banking, Finance and International Trade from Bordeaux University in 1992, Tim started his career as a Quantitative Engineer with CCF (now HSBC). After expanding his responsibilities and a successfully growing the business as the Global Head of Equity, Tim moved to the AXA Group in 2000 as the Global Head of Quantitative Asset Management with AXA IM. In 2003, he relocated to Japan, first as the CIO of AXA Japan and later as the CIO for Asia. In 2008 he joined AllianceBernstein as Chairman and CEO for Japan. After the turnaround of the Japanese operation, Tim became Chairman and CEO of AllianceBernstein Ltd in London covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. When the region became a major contributor to the group, in 2015, Tim decided to take a sabbatical and enjoyed teaching Finance and supporting a large private equity firm in its acquisition projects. Tim remains active in teaching Finance at various universities and business schools. He is passionate advocate of economic and finance literacy for children and young adults.

Isabelle Conner

Ms. Isabelle Conner serves as Group Chief Marketing & Customer Officer the Company. Prior to Generali, Isabelle was the Group CMO for Zurich Insurance Group from 2011 and ING from 2004, based in Amsterdam and London. Before ING, Isabelle spent 18 years working in New York where she ran marketing departments at several leading global financial institutions including Deutsche Bank from 1998, Weiss, Peck & Greer from 1996, and Prudential Securities from 1989. She began her career as a financial reporter, working for an online French financial information news wire based in Paris. Isabelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with a minor in Economics from The American University of Paris. Her early years were spent in Asia and Africa where her father worked in the oil business, during which time she acquired a curiosity for all international things.

Maurizio Basso

Mr. Maurizio Basso is Group Compliance Officer of the Company. He is the Group FATCA Responsible Officer and the AML Officer. Born in Montebelluna (TV) on April 24th 1962, he graduated in Law from the University of Padua and became a lawyer. Career He started his career in Generali Group in 1992 as legal consultant in La Venezia Assicurazioni and other Italian insurance companies of the Group. From 1993 to 1995 he also acted as Head of Internal Control and Corporate Secretary in Altinia SIM. In 1995 he moved to Assicurazioni Generali working in special projects within the Group Life Coordination function. In 1997 he moved to Alleanza Assicurazioni, working as Head of Legal. In 2002 he was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In 2009, when Alleanza Assicurazioni was merged in Assicurazioni Generali he became Head of Corporate Secretary for Italian Group Companies in Assicurazioni Generali. In 2011 he was appointed Head of Italian Insurance Compliance within Group Compliance.

Sandro Panizza

Mr. Sandro Panizza serves as Group Chief Risk Officer of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. He was Managing Director and CFO of INA Assitalia from 2010, and prior to that had been Managing Director and CFO of Alleanza Assicurazioni from 2004. Sandro’s career has been focused on financial services since he began working for Intesa San Paolo (former IMI) in 1983, taking the position of Head of Risk Management, before moving to Banca Fideuram, where he was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and management control. He received a Master in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan in 1987, having graduated from the University of Rome La Sapienza with a degree in Economics in 1982. Sandro Panizza is a member of the Group Management Committee of Assicurazioni Generali.

Antonio Cangeri

Dr. Antonio Cangeri serves as Group General Counsel of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as Head of Group Compliance, having begun his career with the Group in 2006 as Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs and Compliance of Generali Investments Italy. Before moving to Generali, he joined Banca Fideuram in 2000, working as Head of the General Secretariat until 2006. From 1996 to 1999 he worked in the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department at Deutsche Bank. Antonio graduated in Law from the LUISS University of Rome in 1990 and earned a Masters in Law “Legum Magister” from the University of Munich in 1995. Antonio was Secretary of the Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. from 2012 to 2014, and held the same position on Banca Fideuram board until 2006.

Simone Bemporad

Mr. Simone Bemporad serves as Group Communications and Public Affairs Director of the Company. In 2012 he founded a strategic consulting company working with British and Italian clients as well as Stroock&Stroock&Lavan, a New York law firm, after ten years at Finmeccanica. He was appointed CEO of Finmeccanica North America in 2007, and the following year coordinated the government approval process for the acquisition of DRS Technologies for $5.2 billion. Bemporad joined the company after serving in 2002 for one year as chief of staff for the Chairman of Enel, Piero Gnudi. In 2001 the then Director General of the Italian Treasury Ministry, Prof. Mario Draghi, gave him the task of coordinating the white paper on Privatization in Italy. In 2000 he became press secretary for the Institute for Industrial Reconstruction S.p.A. (IRI), following ten years of covering economics, politics and finance, while managing the press office at the Transport Federation of the Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL), and then at the Italian Industry Ministry. Simone Bemporad began his journalistic career in 1988, working for press agencies, newspapers and weekly magazines. He has published books on public companies and privatization, served on several Boards of Directors, and is currently Senior Associate at the Center of Strategic and International Studies in Washington D.C.

Gianluca Colocci

Mr. Gianluca Colocci serves as Group Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Group Bancassurance of the Company. Started his professional career as Management Consultant in the financial services industry within a worldwide consultancy firm. He joined Generali Group in 1995 as analyst within the Treasury Dept. and since then has held a growing range of responsibilities over his tenure becoming Head of Investor Relations (1998), Head of Corporate Finance (2003), Head of Group Mergers & Acquisitions (2007). In 2008 following the establishment of Generali PPF Holding, Joint venture for the insurance activities in CEE based in Prague, he was appointed member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Mergers & Acquisitions and Country Manager for Insurance Operations. Returned to Head Office in Italy, in 2013 he was Head of the Business Coordination Unit Growth Options and International Business coordinating operations in CEE, Asia, Generali Employee Benefits and Corporate & Commercial.

Nora Gurtler

Ms. Nora Gurtler is Head of Group Audit of the Company. After Mathematics degrees at ENS Lyon and Karlsruhe University, followed by a PHD in Asymptotic Statistic, Nora Gürtler started working as an analyst at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin in Cologne. She joined Generali Deutschland Holding AG in 2003 as a Senior Analyst and Technical Controller P&C, to later become Head of Actuarial Valuations Life / Health. Between 2011 and 2016 she held various positions within Generali Deutschland Holding, among which Head of Enterprise Risk Management and of Generali Germany’s Solvency II project. In 2015 she became Member of the Executive Committee and in 2016 Board member of Generali Deutschland AG, Generali Lebensversicherung, Generali Versicherung AG and Dialog Lebensversicherungs-AG. She also held the Chief Risk Officer position at the German Holding. Nora is a Fellow of the German Actuarial Association (DAV) and a Certified Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). She remains active in teaching Risk & Actuarial at the German and the European Actuarial Academy as well as at Salzburg University, and is a member of DAV’s Enterprise Risk Committee and the Education Committee.

Edoardo Maestri

Mr. Edoardo Maestri is Head of Group CEO of the Company. Edoardo holds a degree in Economics from the Bocconi University in Milan. He joined the Generali Group in February 2016 as Manager in the Strategy and Business Accelerator Function, where he contributed to the definition of the Generali Group Strategy and has been leading the implementation of some key strategic initiatives of the Group. Prior to joining Generali, Edoardo developed a wide expertise in the Financial Institutions industry while working in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers in London and in the Strategy and Corporate Finance practice at McKinsey&Company.

Thanos Moulovasilis

Mr. Thanos Moulovasilis is Group Head of Life and Health Insurance of the Company. Thanos Moulovasilis is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) in the United Kingdom and holds a Masters in Finance at the London Business School. He joined Generali in 2014, was appointed Head of Global Life in 2016 and Group Life and Health Insurance Director in January 2018. Thanos has a wide international experience having held positions in investment banking, insurance and consulting, including Credit Suisse, Royal London (United Kingdom), Ernst & Young (Greece) and Milliman (Germany).

Ottorino Passariello

Mr. Ottorino Passariello is Group Head of Operations & Processes of the Company. In his career he has developed a broad expertise in the operations. He worked as General Manager Operations for Expo 2015 SpA from 2012 and for various telecommunications and media companies including Telecom Italia Group from 2003 as Quality & Field Services Director and Cap Gemini Telco, Media & Network as Country Manager. During his career, Ottorino has developed a huge experience in Telecommunication industry working for both in consultancy firms and corporations. Ottorino holds a degree in Statistical and Methodological Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome.

Anna Pieri

Ms. Anna Pieri is Group Head of Actuarial Function of the Company. Anna joined Generali in 1995 as Actuary in the Actuary Office of Toro Assicurazioni. She worked then from 1997 to 2013 in Ina Assitalia where she covered several roles in the technical area, becoming the responsible of Finance, ALM and Value Department in 2012. In 2013 she joined Generali Italia as responsible for Value and Technical Valuations Service, and she has been then appointed Country Head of the Actuarial Function in 2015. She is a member of the Order of Italian Actuaries since 1995. Anna graduated in Statistics and Actuarial Sciences from the University of “La Sapienza” in Rome in 1993.

Monica Possa

Ms. Monica Alessandra Possa serves as Group Chief HR & Organization Officer of the Company. She joined the Group after working at RCS Media Group from 2004 as Group HR and Organization Director. Prior to which she had been at Omnitel (later Vodafone) from 1999, working in a number of different roles, such as Head of HR for Italy, Head of HR for South Europe and Head of HR for the SEMEA Region. Monica worked for The Boston Consulting Group as a Management Consultant from 1994, where she was responsible for strategic-organizational projects for clients within the consumer goods industry in Europe. She began her career as a Management Consultant with Gemini Consulting in 1990, after working as a research and teaching Assistant at Bocconi University, Milan from 1989 to 1990. Monica received a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD Fontainebleau, France in 1994, having graduated from Bocconi University in 1989 with a degree in International Economics. Monica is a Board Member of Generali Italia and the Generali Group Foundation. She is also a Board Member of Valore D and the European Institute of Oncology. During her tenure at RCS she was a Board Member at DADA Spa and Unidad Editorial SA. She was also Secretary of the RCS Media Group Remuneration Committee, and during her time at Vodafone was a Trustee of the Vodafone Group Foundation.

Bernardino Provera

Mr. Bernardino Provera is Head of General Manager Office of the Company. Bernardino joined Generali in 2015 as Head of Group Academy, designing and delivering programs in areas such as leadership development, management skills, technical education. Previously, he was a Director at GE Healthcare Partners in Dubai and New York, working with clients on strategy execution by implementing leadership, management and productivity systems. Prior to that, Bernardino worked at Mercer Consulting, part of Marsh & McLennan Companies, as a senior associate in Dubai. He also worked at Bocconi University as a post-doctoral researcher. Bernardino holds a PhD in Management and an MSc in Management.

Giulia Raffo

Ms. Giulia Raffo is Group Head of Investor & Rating Agency Relations of the Company. Giulia joined Generali Group after a long career in financial institutions in London. From 2014 until joining Generali, she has been working in Boussard & Gauvadan, where she was a Partner and co-responsible for investments in European Financials with analytical responsibility for European insurers and diversified financials. Prior to that, Giulia was a leading insurance analyst on the sell side for over a decade. In 2009, she was among the founding partners of Autonomous Research, a leading independent research boutique focused on global financial institutions responsible for the coverage of major large caps in the European insurance sector. Before she was Senior Vice President in the European Investment Research department at Citigroup from 2004 and beforehand she was Equity Research Analyst in Goldman Sachs from 2001. Giulia holds a Master Degree in Economics in Universita’ Commerciale “L. Bocconi”, Italy and she is CFA as well as Series 17 and 87 qualified.

Bruno Andrea Scaroni

Mr. Bruno Andrea Scaroni serves as Group Strategy & Business Accelerator Director of the Company. Bruno Scaroni graduated in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and holds an Mba in Finance and Management at the Columbia Business School in New York. In 2000 he joined Goldman Sachs International as Financial Analyst and then McKinsey in 2004 where he worked in various positions until 2008, when he joined Zurich Financial Services becoming in 2010 Head of Sales Planning and Development of Zurich Italy. In March 2013 he joined Generali Group, first as Chief Distribution Officer of Generali Italy and then, in October 2014, as CEO of Europ Assistance Italy. Since October 2018 the Group Strategy & Business Accelerator function extends its responsibilities to the Generali Vitality activities.

Marco Maria Sesana

Mr. Marco Maria Sesana is Country Manager Italy & Global Business Lines of the Company. He graduated in Engineering at the “Politecnico di Milano” university and got his Master in Business Administration at the Yale School of Management. He joined Generali Italia in 2013, as Chief Operating Officer, to implement the integration of insurance Italian companies, completed in 2015. He was then appointed Chief Insurance & Operating Officer, with responsibility on all the insurance business – life & P&C as well as claims handling – to become Chief Executive Officer in May 2016. Prior to joining Generali, Marco developed a wide experience in the insurance field, managing international turnaround plans while working in leading consultants specialized in business strategy.

Franco Urlini

Mr. Franco Urlini is Group P&C, Claims and Reinsurance Director of the Company. Franco joined Generali in 1988 as Property Underwriter in the Corporate & Commercial segment, becoming responsible for the Multinational business in 1992; he served then from 1999 at the Group Planning and Control and subsequently took the responsibility of Area Manager for Belgium, Netherlands, UK and Employee’ Benefits at the Head Office. Since 2003 he assumed various responsibilities in the technical area of the Head Office which included P&C, Life, Reinsurance and International Affairs, being appointed Group Technical Insurance Officer in 2008. In 2013 became Head of Group Reinsurance and R&D, enlarging the responsibility to Life Reinsurance in 2014. On January 1st, 2018 he has been appointed Group P&C, Claims and Reinsurance Director. He is the Chairman of the General Insurance Committee of the federation Insurance Europe since 2013. Franco graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Trieste in 1986, with specialization in Industrial Plants. After his service as Naval Engineering Officer in 1986, Franco began his professional career in Danieli in 1987 as Proposal Engineer for steel plants and steel-making machines.

Steven Zuanella

Mr. Steven Zuanella is Group Chief Digital Officer of the Company. Steven joined Generali from RSA, where he designed and drove the digital transformation agenda across the Group. From 2015 to 2016 he was Chief Digital Officer at Zurich, driving digital transformation across its UK businesses, with focus on marketing, distribution, sales, underwriting & claims. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2015, he was Chief Digital Officer at Bupa, the international healthcare group, responsible for setting out their transformation ambitions, identifying new digital commercial opportunities, supporting and challenging business performance and establishing a series of centres of excellence to drive best in class customer experiences and business performance. In 2005 he took the role of Head of Online & ecommerce at Prudential PLC and before that he covered several roles at Barclays PLC, including Online Banking Director for the retail bank, where he oversaw the rapid development of its digital assets and capabilities. Steven has a particular interest in start-ups and InsureTech. He is an ambassador for Momentum London and holds advisory roles for a number of start-ups. Steven holds two Batchelor’s degrees: the first, in European Business from Brunel University in London, the second, in Financial Services from The University of Manchester (UMIST). He also has undertaken an Executive Leadership Programme at London Business School.

Giuseppe Catalano

Mr. Giuseppe Pasquale Roberto Catalano serves as Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Affairs of the Company. From 2005 to January 2015 he acted as Legal and Corporate Affairs Executive Director of Indesit Company SpA, coordinating all the legal advice activities and corporate issues of the Indesit Group. From 2000 to 2005 he was Head of Legal and Corporate Department of Natuzzi SpA, a NYSE-listed company; previously, he was Head of Legal Department – Statutory and Corporate bodies of Banca IMI S.p.A., coordinating relations with the group parent company and surveillance authorities, and internal legal adviser and Board Secretary of IMI Bank (Lux) S.A. He practiced as free-lance lawyer after admission at Italian Bar and graduated as Ph.D. at Scuola Superiore S. Anna in Pisa after becoming J.D. at Law School of University of Bari. He is actually member of the Consultative Working Group of Secondary Markets Standing Committee at ESMA.

Lorenzo Pellicioli

Mr. Lorenzo Pellicioli is Non-Executive Director at Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni. He was Executive Independent Director of Assicurazioni Generali SpA from April 24, 2010. Prior to that he served as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company from April 28, 2007 until April 24, 2010. He also serves as Member of the Executive, Nominating and Corporate Governance and Remuneration Committees of the Company. He began his career in the field of journalism and television, and in 1984 joined the Mondadori Espresso Group, where he was appointed to top management positions. He then moved to the Costa Crociere Group, where from 1990 to 1997 he was first Chairman and Managing Director of Costa Cruise Lines and Compagnie Francaise de Croisieres, and then Workdwide General Manager of Costa Crociere SpA. After hoding the position of Managing Director of SEAT Pagine Gialle SpA, he has been Chief Executive Officer of De Agostini SpA since 2005: in that group he is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Magnolia SpA, and a Member of the Board of Directors B&D Holding di Marco Drago & C. SApA. In the past he has also been a director of ENEL, INA and Toro Assicurazioni and a Member of the Advisory Board of Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking.

Romolo Bardin

Mr. Romolo Bardin is Non-Executive Independent Director at Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni. Since 2002 he has been working for Del Vecchio Group, first at Luxottica S.p.A. and then at Delfin S.a.r.l.. He is currently Chief Executive Officer at Delfin S.a.r.l. and at other companies of the same group. He was member of the board of directors of Molmed S.p.A., company listed on Milan Stock Market. He is member of the Audit Committee and the Strategic and Investment Committee of Fonciere des Regions, company listed on Paris Stock Market. He is Member of the Board of Directors of the following companies belonging to Fonciere des Regions: Batisica SA, Berlin I, Berlin V, Immeo Lux Sarl, Immeo Berlin Prime Sarl, Berlin Prime Commercial Sarl, Immeo Valore 4 Sarl, Immeo Valore 6 Sarl. He graduated in Business Administration from Universita Ca Foscari di Venezia.

Paolo Di Benedetto

Mr. Paolo Di Benedetto is Non-Executive Independent Director at Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni since April 28, 2016. He started his career at Banco di Napoli. He worked in Consob, first as a manager and then as a commissioner. He has been Managing Director of SIM Poste S.p.A., BancoPosta Fondi S.p.A. SGR and member of the Board of Directors of Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A. He has taught courses on securities law at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and later at Tor Vergata University in Rome. He is Independent Director in Edison S.p.A. and Cementir Holding S.p.A. He is Chair of the Fondo Nazionale di Garanzia (national compensation fund between financial intermediaries). He graduated in Law with specialization in Administrative Sciences from Universita degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza.

Alberta Figari

Ms. Alberta Figari is Non-Executive Independent Director of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. since April 30, 2013. She is Member of the Risk and Control Committee and Chairman Sub Committee for Related Party Transactions within the Company. She is a partner at the law firm Clifford Chance, where she has gained significant experience in company law, banking/insurance law and financial law. She is Member of the Surveillance Body of Nice S.p.A and Member of the Surveillance Body of Lando Renzi S.p.A. She graduated in Law from Universita degli Studi di Milano, in 1988. She obtained a Masters in Law from King’s College in London, and joined the Milan bar association in 1992.

Ines Mazzilli

Ms. Ines Maria Lina Mazzilli is Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. She graduated in Business Administration, major in Finance, from Bocconi University in Milan and she attended a management Course at the INSEAD University in France. From 1987 to 1993 she worked in senior finance jobs in Elizabeth Arden, being part of Eli Lilly first, and Unilever after. From 1993 to 2016 she worked in Heineken, beginning as Planning & Control Manager for the Italian Operating Company and she was Finance Director from 2001 to 2005. From 2006 to 2010 she was Senior Finance Director of the Western Europe Region and lastly, from 2015 to 2016, she was Senior Director of the Global Finance Processes & Internal Control.

Antonella Mei-Pochtler

Ms. Antonella Mei-Pochtler is Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. Antonella Mei-Pochtler grew up in Rome and attended the German School. After graduating in 1976 she studied business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and at the University La Sapienza in Rome. She earned her MBA in 1983 at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, in France. She started her career in 1984 at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich. Six years later, in 1990, when she was 31 years old, she was promoted as one of the youngest Partners and first female Managing Director in Germany. In 1997 she opened BCG’s Vienna Office and led it till 2003. She became the Global Branding Topic Leader in 1999, member of the European Management Team from 2002 to 2006 and member of the global Executive Committee from 2006 to 2011. She was member of the Board of Directors of J.A. Benckiser SE and PPCapital and Chief of the Supervisory Board of Wolford AG. She is currently serving as Special Advisor to the Austrian Chancellor and as Senior Advisor of The Boston Consulting Group.

Diva Moriani

Dr. Diva Moriani is Non-Executive Independent Director at Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni since April 28, 2016. She has been working for Intek Group S.p.A. since 1994, she became member of the Board of Directors in 2002 and since 2007 she has been filling the role of Executive Vicechair. She is Managing Director of KME AG and she covers many executive roles and/or Board positions in the main companies of the Intek Group. She is Member of the Board of Directors, CEO of the Compensation and Nominees Committee and Member of the Control, Risk and Sustainability Committee of Moncler S.p.A., Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Compensation and Nominees Committee of ENI S.p.A., Member of the Board of Directors of Ergycapital S.p.A., Member of the Board of Directors of Dynamo Academy, Dynamo Foundation and Dynamo Association, first Italian Camp of recreational therapy for children with serious pathologies. She graduated in Business Administration from Universita degli Studi di Firenze.

Roberto Perotti

Mr. Roberto Perotti is Non-Executive Independent Director at Assicurazioni Generali - Societa per Azioni since April 28, 2016. From 1991 to 2010 he was professor in Economics in many universities, among them Columbia University and Bocconi. From 1998 to 2010 he was the editor of some economic and financial journals, among which the Journal of the European Economic Association. He is the author of many essays and publications on national and international magazines. He is Member of the Advisory Scientific Committee of CREI, Member of the International Research Fellows Network, Kiel Institut für Weltwirtschaft, Member of the Scientific Committee of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO). He graduated in Economics from Universita Bocconi in Milan. He accomplished a Ph.D. at the Department of Economics in Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sabrina Pucci

Ms. Sabrina Pucci is Non-Executive Independent Director of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. since April 30, 2013. She is Member of the Risk and Control Committee within the Company and Member of Sub Committee for Related Party Transactions within the Company. Sabrina Pucci has been a member of the board of directors of Assicurazioni Generali since 30 April 2013. She embarked on an academic career after graduating in Business Economics from Universita degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza. Her fields of research include international accounting standards, risk, insurance, banks, financial instruments, intangible assets and pension funds. She has published extensively in her fields of expertise. Since 2005 she has been full professor of Business Administration at the Economics Faculty of Roma Tre University She is a member of the Insurance Accounting Working Group at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).
