Biographies

Name Description

Beat Luethi

Dr. Beat E. Luethi has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of INFICON HOLDING INC. since April 26, 2012. He served as Project Manager at Zellweger Uster from 1987 to 1990. He worked at Mettler-Toledo in various positions. He was Chief Executive Officer at Feintool International from 1998 to 2002. Since 2007 he is Chief Executive Officer at CTC Analytics AG. He studied Electrical Engineering at Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich, where he also received his Ph.D. at BWI Center for Industrial Management. Dr. Luethi also concluded the International Executive Program at INSEAD, Paris.

Lukas Winkler

Mr. Lukas Winkler has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Inficon Holding Inc. since January 2004. He joined the UNAXIS-Balzers AG in January 1993, where he served as Manager Logistics and Manager Production until 1996. Subsequently, he acted as Vice President and General Manager at Balzers and Leybold Instrumentation and INFICON AG till 2003. Prior to joining UNAXIS-Balzers AG, he served at General Motors Europe AG, Switzerland as Engineer and he was Project-Manager at Maschinenfabrik Rieter AG, among others. Mr. Winkler has a Dipl. Ing. degree in Engineering from ETH Zurich, which he gained in 1986, and an Executive MBA from Syracuse University, obtained in 2001.

Richard Fischer

Dr. Richard Fischer serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Inficon Holding Inc. He has been at the Company's Board of Directors since May 2003. He is Member of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee at the Company. Furthermore, Dr. Fischer has been co-owner of VAT Holding AG. Since 1984, he has served as VAT's Chief Executive Officer, and since 1997, as the company's President and Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining VAT, Dr. Fischer was Technical Director of Gama Access Systems, an Austrian company. Dr. Fischer currently acts as XChairman of the Board in VAT Holding AG. He holds a Ph.D. degree as well as Master of Science in Electrical and Electronical Engineering, both from Technische Universitaet Wien.

Matthias Troendle

Mr. Matthias Troendle serves as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of INFICON HOLDING INC. He has held this position within the Company since September 2008. Since November 1995 Mr. Troendle has held several positions within the Solectron Corporation serving as Senior Director Finance Europe since June 2003. Between July 1988 and October 1995, he worked for Hewlett Packard GmbH in Boeblingen, Germany, in various positions within the main finance department. Earlier in his career, Mr. Troendle worked for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Stuttgart, Germany, as Financial Analyst. He studied Finance and Materials Management at Berufsakademie Mannheim and holds a degree (Diplom-Betriebswirt) in Business Administration, obtained in 1985.

Vanessa Frey

Ms. Vanessa C. Frey has been Member of the Board of Directors at Inficon Holding Inc. since April 26, 2012. She is Member of the Company's Audit Committee. From 2004 until 2006, Ms. Frey worked in the Corporate Finance Team of Handelsbanken Capital Markets in Stockholm, Sweden, and after that as Asset Manager in Hong Kong. She has been Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Corisol Holding AG since 2007. Ms. Frey has served on the Boards of Directors of Absolut Invest, Zug, and KWE Beteiligungen AG, Zug and is Member of the Advisory Board of Garaventa Lift, Kuessnacht am Rigi. She completed her undergraduate Studies in Economics, Business Administration and Law at the Universitaet St. Gallen and concluded her studies with a Master of Science in International Economics and Business with a special focus on Finance at the Handelshoegskolan i Stockholm, Sweden.

Beat Siegrist

Mr. Beat Siegrist has been Member of the Board of Directors at Inficon Holding Inc. since May 2010. He is Member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee at the Company. Mr. Siegrist served as Chief Executive Officer of Schweiter Technologies AG and Outsourcing AG, among others. He served as Development Engineer at Contraves AG from 1985 to 1986. From 1987 to 1993 he served McKinsey&Co. He has served as Chairman of SSM Schaerer Schweiter Mettler AG, Ismeca Semiconductor Holding SA, Schweiter Technologies AG and Member of the Board at Satisloh Holding AG and Phoenix Mecano AG. Mr. Siegrist holds a Master degree in Engineering from the ETH Zurich, which he earned in 1985, and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau France, obtained in 1988.

Thomas Staehelin

Dr. Thomas Staehelin has been Member of the Board of Directors of Inficon Holding Inc. since May 2001. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee of the Company. He worked for Swiss Bank Corporation in 1973 and SG Warburg & Co., Ltd in 1974. He has been FROMER Swiss Corporate and Tax Attorney and Partner since 1975. Currently, Dr. Staehelin has served as Chairman of Lantal Textiles, Swissport International AG, Scobag Privatbank AG, Stamm Bau AG, as Vice Chairman of Siegfried Holding AG and Member of Kuehne + Nagel International AG. Dr. Staehelin holds a lic. iur. (Master in Law), a degree he obtained in 1971 and Ph.D. in Law from Universitaet Basel, which he earned in 1974. He was admitted to the Bar in 1975.
