Name Description

Matthias Wierlacher

Mr. Matthias Wierlacher has been Independent Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JENOPTIK AG since July 15, 2015. Prior to that, he was Member of the Supervisory Board at the Company from 2012. He is Chairman of the Personnel, Nomination Committee and Mediation Committee. He was Deputy Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Company. He is Chairman of the Board of Thueringer Aufbaubank, among others.

Stefan Traeger

Dr. Stefan Traeger has been President of the Executive Board, Chief Executive Officer at Jenoptik AG since May 1, 2017. He is responsible for Divisions (Operational Business), Regions, HR / Human Resources Director, Corporate Development (Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Innovation), Corporate Communication, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance & Risk, ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) & CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) at the Company. After completing his higher education entrance qualification in Jena and his vocational training at Carl Zeiss in Saalfeld, Dr. Traeger studied physics. In 1998, he completed his Ph.D., as Dr. rer. nat., at the Leibniz University of Hanover and subsequently attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, as postdoctoral research affiliate. In 2003, Dr. Traeger obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana, as part of an Executive Education Program. Dr. Traeger started his professional career at Carl Zeiss in 2000, where he held various management positions until 2007, including as Director Strategic Business Development of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Jena and as Managing Director of Carl Zeiss SMT Ltd. in Cambridge, UK. In 2007, Dr. Traeger was appointed Managing Director of Leica Microsystems CMS GmbH, a Danaher Group company. As Vice President & General Manager, he was responsible for the global Life Science Division of Leica Microsystems. From 2013 to 2017, he was a member of the executive committee of the listed Swiss company Tecan Group AG where he managed the global retail customer business in the Life Sciences Division.

Michael Ebenau

Mr. Michael Ebenau has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative of Jenoptik AG since January 1, 2011. He was previously Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at the Company from June 6, 2007. Additionally, he acts as Member of the Personnel Committee and the Mediation Committee of the Company. Until September 14, 2011, he also served as Member of the Company’s Audit Committee. Mr. Ebenau serves as Secretary of the IG Metall Union, District Management Mitte.

Hans-Dieter Schumacher

Mr. Hans-Dieter Schumacher has been Chief Financial Officer, Member of the Executive Board of JENOPTIK AG since April 1, 2015. He is responsible for the areas of Finance & Controlling (Corporate & Divisional), General Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Real Estate, IT & Data Security as well as Internal Audit. He majored in business management from 1985 to 1990 at the University of Mannheim. After completing his studies, he started work as a trainee in the Finance division of Villeroy & Boch AG. There, he worked both in Controlling and in Corporate Auditing. In 1995, he moved to Mannesmann Handel AG and was promoted to Department Head of Planning and Controlling and to Head of Business Management. After a short time with the SULO Group, in 1999 he became the Division Head of Finance and Controlling at Aesculap AG, a medical technology company that is part of B. Braun Melsungen AG. In 2003, Mr. Hans-Dieter Schumacher was appointed the Financial Director of Sto AG, which found itself in a difficult situation due to the crisis in the construction industry at the time. As part of a value augmentation and restructuring program, the continued existence of the company was ensured and a continuous phase of profitable growth ensued. In January 2011, Mr. Schumacher was appointed the Chief Financial Officer and Labor Director of the HOMAG Group AG. During his engagement with HOMAG, he was able to work with his colleagues on the Board of Directors to bring the company back to a course of continuous, profitable growth and significantly increase revenue. Mr. Hans-Dieter Schumacher left the HOMAG Group AG at his own request after its acquisition by Duerr AG.

Steffen Mueller

Mr. Steffen Mueller has been Member of the Executive Management Committee, Vice President Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions at JENOPTIK AG since September 1, 2018. He has business development experience, especially in the medical technology, safety and security as well as defense markets. He comes from Draegerwerk AG, where he was Vice President New Business Development and M&A. Previously, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Corporate Finance Consulting and Roland Berger in Strategy Consulting among others. He studied Business Administration and English Studies at the University of Leipzig and completed his Master of Business Administration at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL).

Henrik Leps

Mr. Henrik Leps has been Member of the Executive Management Committee, Chief Controlling Officer of JENOPTIK AG since 2017. He came to Jenoptik in March 2015 where he became Head of Group Controlling. His activities as Chief Controlling Officer include Controlling principles, guidelines and systems, Budgeting, forecasting, Reporting (Variance analysis, Actions),Target costing, R+D projects, M&A business cases, PMI, Functional controlling (R+D, sales, production) and Transfer pricing. Until 2009, he held various controlling positions in the industrial company Weidmueller, where he was Head of Controlling for five years. Subsequently, he was the Director Finance & Controlling at Allied Vision Technologies, a company that manufactures digital cameras for industrial processes.

Maria Koller

Ms. Maria Koller has been Member of the Executive Management Committee, Head of Global Human Resources of JENOPTIK AG since November 1, 2017. In this function she is responsible for the group-wide human resources management. She studied Economic Psychology at the University of Vienna. She started her professional career in the field of personnel development and subsequently as an Human Resources all-rounder at Alcatel. Besides Alcatel in Austria and France her professional stages led her through various companies of the Danaher Group in Europe. In 2014 she took office at the automotive supplier Magna where she held a number of executive Human Resources positions, most recently as Corporate Director Human Resources Programs Europa and Country Director Germany. With more than 20 years of professional and international executive HR experience she is familiar with all aspects of human resources management and has comprehensive know-how in the fields of personnel processes, personnel development and change processes as well as international experience.

Kevin Chevis

Mr. Kevin Chevis is Member of the Executive Management Committee responsible for the Light & Safety Division at JENOPTIK AG. He is an experienced industry veteran and manager in the fields of traffic law enforcement, civil security and digitization. He has been part of the management of JENOPTIK Traffic Solutions UK Ltd. (formerly Vysionics) based in Frimley, United Kingdom. Jenoptik acquired this company, which specializes in ANPR systems, in 2014 and thus strengthened its Traffic Solutions business in the areas of data processing and software. Mr. Chevis was Chief Executive Officer of the company from March 2010 to 2018. Prior to that, he held various leading positions in sales and marketing.

Martin Kuhnhen

Mr. Martin Kuhnhen has been Member of the Executive Management Committee responsible for the Light & Production Division at JENOPTIK AG since January 2019. He is experienced in the international robotics and automation environment. He served at KUKA Roboter GmbH, Augsburg, where he was Member of the Management Board as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) from 2014 to 2018 and responsible for the global regions. Mr. Kuhnhen started his professional career in 1998 at KUKA in the development department as an application engineer. Further positions included management positions at the KUKA subsidiary Trellis Automation in Rochester Hills, various sales management positions and a long stay abroad in the US as Managing Director Americas. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Wuppertal and holds a Master of Management from the MZSG St. Gallen.

Ralf Kuschnereit

Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit has been Member of the Executive Management Committee responsible for the Light & Optics Division at JENOPTIK AG since July 2017. He studied physics at the University of Bonn. Subsequently he received his Ph.D. at the University of Heidelberg in physical chemistry and obtained a Master of Business Administration at the University of Heidelberg and Katz Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh. Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit has management experience in various roles. He started his professional career as a group technologist in the field of photolithography development and most recently held the role of head of the Ophthalmological Systems business unit and President & Chief Executive Officer of Carl Zeiss Meditec Inc. in Dublin, the United States.

Albert Miranda

Mr. Albert Miranda Member of the Executive Management Committee, President of Jenoptik North America at JENOPTIK AG. Since September 2008, he has coordinated the U.S. corporate activities of the Jenoptik Group and assumed the role as a U.S. President/CFO. As member of all boards of Jenoptik subsidiaries in the U.S. he supports all financial activities and corporate services of the subsidiaries in the U.S. in cooperation with the German management of the Group. In addition, his tasks include the optimization of the overall presentation of the Jenoptik Group in the U.S. including the realization of synergy effects between the U.S. companies; the leading role in acquisition processes of the divisions in the U.S. together with the Merger & Acquisition team of JENOPTIK AG as well as the support in the strategic decisions of the divisions with regard to the US market growth. Mr. Miranda started his career as a CPA. Then he moved to Engelhardt Corporation (now BASF Catalysts LLC) until 1998. From 1998 to 2008 he worked with Carl Zeiss Vision, Inc., most recently as Vice President / General Manager of the System Technology business unit. Mr. Miranda has a B.B.S. and an MBA from the Lubin School of Business, Pace University.

Jonathan Qu

Mr. Jonathan Qu has been Member of the Executive Management Committee, President Jenoptik Asia of JENOPTIK AG since April 2018. He he is responsible for the Jenoptik business in particular in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Southeast Asia. He has experience in the various fields of optics, photonics, and related high-tech environments. He started his international carrier at General Electric, and worked as General Manager for companies such Mettler-Toledo and Leica Microsystems, a part of the Danaher Group. Most recently, he was General Manager China & Southeast Asia for the Tecan Group.

Stefan Stenzel

Dr. Stefan Stenzel has been Member of the Executive Management Committee, Head of the VINCORION Division at JENOPTIK AG since 2018. Prior to that, he was Member of the Executive Management Board, Head of Defense and Civil Systems at JENOPTIK AG from June 1, 2012. In 2003, he moved to the Jenoptik Group where he was responsible for strategy and innovation management. In August 2009, he moved to the Jenoptik Optical Systems division, being responsible for production, research and development, legal affairs and HR. After graduating from high school (Abitur), he studied economics and subsequently wrote a doctoral dissertation in the field of business administration. He started his professional career at Deutsche Boerse AG in Frankfurt in 1990 where his last post was director of the corporate development department. Following this, he worked at Allianz AG, responsible for the investment controlling for the banks and asset management companies of the group and was involved in international acquisition projects. He subsequently became Chief Financial Officer at MAGIX AG, a manufacturer of audio and video software.

Evert Dudok

Mr. Evert Dudok has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of JENOPTIK AG since July 22, 2015. He is Executive Vice President Communications, Intelligence and Security at Airbus Defense & Space, Munich.
