Name Description

Jacques Aigrain

Dr. Jacques Alfred Gilbert Aigrain has been appointed Independent Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. effective as of September 24, 2018. He previously served as Independent Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He joined the Company's Supervisory Board on May 2011. He is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and Member of the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee. He is Partner at Warburg Pincus LPP, a global private equity firm, where he has served in a leadership role since 2013. He also serves as Director of the London Stock Exchange Group plc. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of WPP plc and Swiss International Airlines and is the Non Executive Chairman of Acutronic Holding AG.

Bhavesh Patel

Mr. Bhavesh V. (Bob) Patel has been Chairman of the Management Board, Chief Executive Officer, Director of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since January 12, 2015. He served as Executive Vice President, Olefins and Polyolefins – Europe, Asia and International and previously senior vice president, Olefins and Polyolefins – Americas. Mr. Patel joined LyondellBasell in March 2010 and as Executive Vice President led the restructuring of the company’s O&P – Americas and O&P – Europe, Asia and International segments. Previously, Mr. Patel held several positions at Chevron Corporation and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company for more than 20 years in business management, strategy, planning and transactions, as well as sales and manufacturing roles. Over the course of his career, Mr. Patel has held leadership positions based in the Netherlands, Singapore and the United States. Mr. Patel is Member of the Business Council, The Business Roundtable and he serves on the boards of the United States / India Strategic Partnership Forum, the Greater Houston Partnership and Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and he is the current Chairman of the American Chemistry Council. Mr. Patel is also on the external advisory council of the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University and the dean’s advisory council for the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Mr. Patel serves on the Board of Directors of Union Pacific Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University and he also holds a Master of Business Administration from Temple University.

Thomas Aebischer

Mr. Thomas Aebischer has been Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, Member of the Management Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since January 1, 2016. He is responsible for leading the Company’s treasury, investor relations, information technology, tax, finance and accounting functions. Mr. Aebischer joined LyondellBasell after having served in a variety of positions, including Chief Financial Officer, over a nearly 20-year career with Holcim. Holcim merged with Lafarge in 2015. In his role as Holcim's Chief Financial Officer, his responsibilities included the company's information technology, accounting and administration, investor relations, risk management and procurement functions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Aebischer held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Bern cantonal tax authorities in Switzerland. Mr. Aebischer is a Swiss certified public accountant and alumnus of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School.

Darleen Caron

Ms. Darleen Marie Caron has been Chief Human Resource Officer, Executive Vice President of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since October 30, 2017. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Ms. Caron was Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources for SNC-Lavalin, Inc., where she was named Member of the Office of the President in December 2010. Prior to SNC-Lavalin, she was employed at Dow Chemical, a United States-based multinational company, where she was Vice President, Human Capital Planning and Development. Previously at Dow, she was responsible for all operational human resources matters for the firm's five geographic regions. She has more than 29 years of experience in human resources from multinational companies such as ABB and Alcan. Over the course of her career, she has been the Vice-President, Human Resources in various business units and geographic regions, and at the corporate level in North America and Europe. Ms. Caron holds a BBA from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal.

Jeffrey Kaplan

Mr. Jeffrey A. (Jeff) Kaplan has been Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Member of the Management Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since May 2015. He has been Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer since March 1, 2015, He joined LyondellBasell in December 2009 as deputy general counsel. Prior to joining the Company, he served in a variety of leadership roles at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, including deputy general counsel. Previously, he was in private law practice in Houston, Texas. He serves as Chairman of the Texas General Counsel Forum and is Director of the Houston Bar Foundation. He is a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation. Mr. Kaplan earned a Bachelor of Science from Amherst College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.

Daniel Coombs

Mr. Daniel M. (Dan) Coombs has been Executive Vice President - Global Manufacturing, Projects, Refining and Technology, Member of the Management Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since February 2017. Mr. Coombs joined the Company in 2015 and has additional responsibility for Procurement in his current role. Previously he led the Global Intermediates & Derivatives and Olefins & Polyolefins businesses with LyondellBasell. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, he held various executive positions with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company including, senior vice president of Manufacturing; senior vice president Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics; vice president Corporate Planning & Development and vice president Qatar and deputy general manager Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. Mr. Coombs serves on the Board of the United Way of Greater Houston. Mr. Coombs holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in the same field from the University of Tulsa. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University

James Guilfoyle

Mr. James D. (Jim) Guilfoyle has been Executive Vice President, Advanced Polymer Solutions & Global Supply Chain, Member of the Management Board at LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since 2018. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Global Intermediates & Derivatives and Global Supply Chain, Member of the Management Board from February 2017 and Senior Vice President - Global Intermediates & Derivatives, Member of the Management Board from June 2015. He also held several managerial and technical positions at the Company within the Olefins and Polyolefins business segment. He started his career as a chemical engineer in 1993 at the La Porte, Texas Olefins Plant with Quantum Chemicals, a predecessor of the Company. He is currently serving on the Houston Food Bank Board of Directors. Mr. Guilfoyle earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science in the same field from the University of Houston. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston and attended the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.

Paul Augustowski

Mr. Paul Augustowski has been Senior Vice President, Olefins & Polyolefins, Americas of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since January 2016. He is responsible for leading this business segment which produces and markets ethylene, propylene, co-products, and derivatives including polyethylene, polypropylene and Catalloy resins. Prior to this position, he was Vice President of Polymer Sales - Americas at LyondellBasell and has previously held several managerial and technical positions at the Company within the Olefins and Polyolefins business segment. Mr. Augustowski has worked in the chemical and plastics industry for over 30 years including assignments in Japan and Poland. In Poland, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company’s joint venture Basell Orlen Polyolefins. He started his career at LyondellBasell as a technical manager in 1990 at Himont USA, Inc., one of the legacy operations now part of LyondellBasell Industries. Mr. Augustowski is Member of the Board of Directors for Indelpro, the company’s polypropylene joint venture in Mexico. He is an officer of the Board of Directors for the Plastics Industry Association and is the vice chairman of the American Chemistry Council’s Plastics Division Operating Committee. Mr. Augustowski earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

Massimo Covezzi

Mr. Massimo Covezzi has been Senior Vice President - Research and Development of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since January 2008. Prior to the 2007 merger of Basell and Lyondell Chemical Company, he was president of Research and Development for Basell Polyolefins. In May 2005, Mr. Covezzi was appointed president of Research and Development for Basell Polyolefins. In April 2004, he was named head of Product and Application Development for Basell and R&D site coordinator in Frankfurt, Germany. From 2001 to 2004, he was the site coordinator for Research and Development and Catalyst Manufacturing in Ferrara, Italy and head of Manufacturing Platforms within Basell. In 1995, when Himont became part of the Montell joint venture, he was named core technology director for polyethylene and four years later, he was assigned the same responsibility for polypropylene. In these roles, he coordinated all related research and development activities and programs worldwide. Mr. Covezzi serves on the Board of Directors of Federchimica, the Italian chemical industry association. In 2017 he was named Chairman of PlasticsEurope Italia. Mr. Covezzi holds a Master of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Bologna. He also completed an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Stephen Doktycz

Mr. Stephen Doktycz has been Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Transactions at LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since March 2017. He has industry experience having joined LyondellBasell after more than 27 years with The Dow Chemical Company. While at Dow, he led a number of transactions and held a variety of roles in corporate development, M&A, finance, strategic planning and R&D. Mr. Doktycz earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, both in Chemistry, as well as an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jean Gadbois

Mr. Jean Gadbois has been Senior Vice President - Europe, Asia & International Manufacturing of LyondellBasell Industries N.V.since June 2015. He is responsible for leading manufacturing operations at 35 facilities in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Mr. Gadbois joined the Company’s predecessors in 1986 and has had a diverse international career; holding various managerial roles in Manufacturing and Operations at sites in Europe. He also served as Vice President of Supply Chain in Europe, Asia and International and also had roles in Investor Relations and Corporate Development. Mr. Gadbois holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from l’Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in Canada.

Richard Roudeix

Mr. Richard Roudeix has been Senior Vice President - Olefins & Polyolefins, Europe, Asia & International at LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since February 2017. He was Senior Vice President, Olefins & Polyolefins, Europe at the Company from March 2015. Prior to this position, Mr. Roudeix served as director of Olefins and Aromatics ? Europe. He has also held positions in Europe and the U.S. for the LyondellBasell predecessors companies, including serving as Vice President of business units for Basell in Germany and Vice President of polyethylene in the United States. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, he served in a Manufacturing and Strategic Development capacity for Royal Dutch Shell in France, as polyethylene manager in Belgium for Montell and as product line manager in Germany for Elenac. Mr. Roudeix is an Executive Board Member of CEFIC, Plastics Europe and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands. He graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Ecole des Mines and completed a post-graduate program at the French Petroleum Institute (Ecole du Petrole et des Moteurs).

Michael VanDerSnick

Mr. Michael (Mike) VanDerSnick serves as Senior Vice President, Americas Manufacturing of the LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since 2016. He was previously Senior Vice President of Health, Safety, Environment and Security at LyondellBasell. Prior to this role, Mr. VanDerSnick served as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing for the Company’s Europe, Asia and International regions. He has also served as site manager at the Company’s Channelview, Texas plant — one of the largest petrochemical facilities along the United States Gulf Coast. Prior to this position, he was site manager at the Matagorda, Chocolate Bayou and Bayport plants in Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois.

Jacinth Smiley

Ms. Jacinth C. Smiley has been Chief Accounting Officer, Principal Accounting Officer of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since April 2, 2018. She most recently worked for General Electric Company, where from 1998 to 2018 she held a range of roles in both the United States and Europe. Ms. Smiley’s most recent roles at General Electric include Chief Financial Officer for the North America Region and Integration Leader at GE Oil and Gas, a supplier to the oil and gas industry, from 2014 to 2018 and Chief Financial Officer for GE Licensing from 2012 to 2014. Ms. Smiley is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Dale Friedrichs

Mr. Dale Friedrichs has been Vice President - Health, Safety, Environment and Security of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since February 2017. He is responsible for oversight of the Company’s operational excellence function, personal and process safety, environment, security, health, and product stewardship. His career spans over 30 years and he has held numerous leadership positions in manufacturing with LyondellBasell and its predecessor companies. He has served as site manager at six LyondellBasell manufacturing locations along the Gulf Coast. He serves on the Board of the Galveston Bay Foundation. Mr. Friedrichs is a graduate of Texas A&M University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Ocean Engineering and Civil Engineering.

Michael Hanley

Lincoln Benet

Mr. Lincoln E. Benet has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since June 2015. He is Member of the Nominating and Governance Committee, Chairman of the Finance Committee and Member of the Executive Committee at the Company. He is Chief Executive Officer of Access Industries, the privately held industrial group with long-term holdings worldwide founded by Len Blavatnik. Its industrial focus targets three sectors: natural resources and chemicals, TMT and real estate. Access Industries has strategic investments in the United States, Europe and South America. Prior to joining Access Industries in 2006, Mr. Benet was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he spent 17 years. His experience spanned corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, fixed income and capital markets. Mr. Benet serves on the Boards of Clal Industries and Warner Music Group. Mr. Benet graduated with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Economics from Yale University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jagjeet Bindra

Mr. Jagjeet Singh (Jeet) Bindra has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since May 2011. He is Member of the Audit Committee and the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Health, Safety, Environment & Operations Committee at the Company. He is the retired President of Chevron Global Manufacturing. Mr. Bindra serves on the Board of Sirectors of HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited.

Robin Buchanan

Mr. Robin William Turnbull Buchanan has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since May 2011. He is Member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and the Compensation Committee at the Company. He is Senior Advisor at Bain & Company Inc., the worldwide business consulting firm. Stephen Cooper

Mr. Stephen F. (Steve) Cooper has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since July 2010. He is Member of the Health, Safety, Environment & Operations Committee at the Company. He is Chief Executive Officer and Director of Warner Music Group, Managing Partner of Cooper Investment Partners, a private equity firm specializing in underperforming companies, and Director of Ventech Engineers. Nance Dicciani

Dr. Nance K. Dicciani has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since September 2013. She is Member of the Health, Safety, Environment & Operations Committee and the Finance Committee at the Company. She is retired President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Honeywell Specialty Materials LLC. Claire Farley

Ms. Claire Scobee Farley has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since February 20, 2014. Isabella Goren

Ms. Isabella D. (Bella) Goren has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since February 20, 2014. She is Member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee at the Company. She served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AMR Corporation and American Airlines Inc. Ms. Goren was Member of AMR Corporation's Executive Committee and responsible for all of the company's financial functions, including corporate finance, corporate development, supply chain, financial planning, and relationships with the investment community. During her career with AMR and American Airlines, she held leadership positions in a number of functional areas, including operations and marketing. Ms. Goren serves as Director on the Boards of Gap Inc. and MassMutual Financial Group, and is also on the Executive Board of the Southern Methodist University Lyle School of Engineering and the advisory board of the University of Texas at Austin School of Engineering.

Bruce Smith

Mr. Bruce Alfred Smith has been Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of Lyondellbasell Industries N.V. since July 2010. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee at the Company. He is retired Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tesoro Corporation, where he served from 1996 until 2010. Before being named as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Smith served as Director of Tesoro and also served as its Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer.
