Name Description

Robin Frew

Mr. Robin A. Frew, BBusSci (UCT), BCompt (Hons) (Unisa), has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of the Company., effective 3 October 2016. He was Non-Executive Director of Mix Telematics Ltd. Mr. Robin manages investments in various operating companies including Wizzit Bank, PayM8, Thynk Property Fund and Hymax Telecommunications. Robin also serves as a nonexecutive director for these investments. Robin’s previous experience includes 15 years with Radiospoor Technology Holdings Ltd, a supplier of cellular and other mobile services. Robin was chief executive officer of the group while it was listed on the JSE between 1997 and 2000. Robin has been involved with MiX Telematics since its inception.

Stefan Joselowitz

Mr. Stefan B. Joselowitz (Joss) is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Mix Telematics. He has been in several senior management positions over a career spanning more than 25 years. Specifically, these include sales director and later CEO of Shurlok (Pty) Ltd. Joss and his team built Shurlok into the dominant vehicle security company in South Africa. He also developed a European sales and distribution channel for Electromactic (Pty) Ltd. In 1995, Joss put together a funding consortium and launched Matrix Vehicle Tracking (now MiX Telematics Africa).

Paul Dell

Mr. Paul Dell has been appointed as Interim Chief Financial Officer, Director of the Company, effective February 9th 2017. Mr. Paul is a Chartered Accountant and has worked for MiX Telematics since 2010, where he became a senior member of the finance team in his capacity of Group Financial Manager. In 2012, as Group Financial Controller, he assumed responsibility for managing the company's finance and accounting activities including financial reporting, corporate tax, financial planning and analysis.

Charles Tasker

Mr. Charles Tasker is Group Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director of Mix Telematics, Executive Director of Mix Telematics. Mr. Tasker founded DataPro in 1986, which was subsequently acquired by Control Instruments in 1996. In 1997 Charles joined Control Instruments Group Limited as managing director of their fl eet management business which became OmniBridge (now MiX Telematics International).

Brendan Horan

Mr. Brendan Horan is Executive Vice President, Managing Director MiX Africa of Mix Telematics. since June 2014 when our fleet and consumer businesses in Africa were merged into one business. Brendan served as the Executive responsible for Consumer Solutions since January 2012 June 2014. From September 2008 until December 2011, he was the General Manager—Sales and Marketing of MiX Telematics Africa, which covered both fleet and consumer business development for the whole of Africa. Previously, Brendan served as our General Manager—RSA and Africa Fleet from March 2007 until September 2008. He is a registered accountant with previous accounting experience in South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Catherine Lewis

Ms. Catherine Lewis is Executive Vice President of Technology of the company. She joined the business formerly known as OmniBridge in May 2001 and in November 2013 was promoted to Managing Director of MiX's Central Services Organisation (CSO). Catherine is the custodian of the MiX Telematics brand and is responsible for product development, the hosting and operations of the MiX SaaS platform, fleet marketing and product management, technical support, and associated services. She has served as the Group’s EVP of Technology since 2014.

Gert Pretorius

Mr. Gert Pretorius is Executive Vice President - Information Systems of Mix Telematics Ltd. since June 2014 and is responsible for our information technology and business systems. Gert was the Executive responsible for Africa Fleet Solutions since January 2012 to June 2014. He served in various other senior sales and operations roles at MiX before being appointed chief operating officer for MiX Africa in 2010. Previously, Gert served as operations manager for OmniBridge. From 1998 until joining OmniBridge, he held senior executive roles at fleet management companies including Super Group and Daimler Fleet Management and in the security industry at Coin Security Group.

Stephen Bruyns

Mr. Stephen Richard Bruyns CA(SA), PDM (Harvard), has been appointed as Lead Independent Non-executive Director of the Company. He was Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Mix Telematics. He is directorship experience spans many industries and achievements. During the past 20 years, Richard has led companies of 500 to 12 000 employees with annual sales ranging from R500 million to R20 billion in the IT, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and consumer goods industries. Richard has served on many boards including Malbak Ltd, Kohler Packaging Ltd, Kimberly Clark of SA Ltd, Crown Cork SA (Pty) Ltd, Control Instruments Ltd, Carnelley Rangecroft Consultancy, Conservation Corporation of SA Ltd (CC Africa), Shift Interactive Communications, and New Africa Investments Ltd.

Fikile Futwa

Ms. Fikile Futwa is Non-Executive Independent Director of the company. She founded and manages an accounting firm, Your Financial Partner, which is registered with SAICA. She has more than 17 years corporate experience which includes external audit, accounting, payroll, financial management, corporate finance, corporate governance, taxation and B-BBEE regulations. Fikile started her accounting articles at Andersen Consulting and completed them with KPMG. Post articles, she worked in corporate finance for Eskom and Anglo-American Corporation Limited. She later joined Discovery Limited, where she headed up the Discovery CA(SA) training program and Group Accounting department. She was also involved in the implementation of Enterprise Development funding transactions. Whilst at Discovery, Fikile worked with small and medium businesses that were applying for Enterprise Development funding. Fikile also serves as a non-executive director on various boards.

Ian Jacobs

Mr. Ian V. Jacobs is the Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Jacobs is managing member of 402 Capital LLC, a value-oriented investment manager based in Omaha, Nebraska, focusing on businesses with structural competitive advantages. From 2003 until founding 402 Capital in 2009, Mr. Jacobs worked on investment research and other projects at Berkshire Hathaway Inc., as directed by its Chairman/CEO. Prior to his time at Berkshire, Mr. Jacobs worked as an equity analyst, most recently at Goldman Sachs, Inc. He completed the CFA program, and received his MBA from Columbia University.

Fundiswa Roji-Maplanka

Ms. Fundiswa Roji-Maplanka serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of Mix Telematics Ltd. She is also Member of the Social and Ethics Committee of the Company. Previously, she was Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company from November 12, 2010 till February 8, 2013. She also served as Member of the Audit Committee of the Company. During her professional career, Ms. Roji was appointed as Director of investments at Kagiso Tiso Holdings (Pty) Ltd and of several investee companies in the Kagiso Tiso Group. She was also previously Chairperson of Matrix Vehicle Tracking (Pty) Ltd (now MiX Telematics Africa), a wholly owned subsidiary of MiX Telematics, prior to its listing. She also sits on the Board of Focus on Youth, an NGO focusing on youth development. Ms. Roji qualified as a Certified Accountant (South Africa) in 2000 having served her articles with Ernst & Young. She is Member of the African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA), an organization which encourages and supports the advancement of black women in the accountancy profession. She obtained a BCom (Honors) and BCompt degrees.

Anthony Welton

Mr. Anthony Welton, CA(SA), MBL(Unisa), is Independent Non-Executive Director of Mix Telematics Ltd. He brings a of financial and operational to the Group, having been the financial director of listed companies from 1986 to 2002. Tony has in recent years worked as a financial consultant. Tony resigned as a non-executive director in November 2009 and relinquished his position as audit committee chairman in order to fill the position of interim financial director following the resignation of the previous incumbent. Tony reverted to his position as a non-executive director and audit committee member and chairman following the appointment of Megan Pydigadu as Group Financial Director. Following the introduction of the Companies Act of 2008, Tony became ineligible to serve on the audit and risk committee because he had held a prior executive position. However, he remains an independent nonexecutive director. On 8 June 2011, Tony was appointed to the position of chairman of the social and ethics committee. He has also been appointed as the member of remuneration and nomination committee of the Company effective March 31, 2013.
