Jose Maria Fernandez Sousa-Faro

Mr. Jose Maria Fernandez Sousa-Faro, Ph.D. serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Chairman of the Board of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. He was Member of the Board of Directors of Antibiotics, Peniberica, Biolys, ICI-Farma, Pescanova, Transfesa, Cooper–Zeltia, ICI-Zeltia and Banco Guipuzcoano. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Universidad de Navarra and Doctorate in Philosophy in Biochemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1971).

Pedro Fernandez Puentes

Mr. Pedro Fernandez Puentes serves as Executive Vice Chairman of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. Between 1965 and 1971, he worked as Head of the new product development lab at Cooper Zeltia, S.A., and became Chairman of that company until it was demerged into Zelnova, S.A. y Cooper Zeltia Veterinaria, S.A. He was Chairman of Xylazel, S.A. from 1995 to 1997. As for directorships, he was a member of the Board of Directors of ICI Farma, S.A., ICI-Zeltia, S.A., Corporación Noroeste, S.A. and their main subsidiaries for approximately 20 years; he was director of Zeltia from 1971 onwards. Maria Luisa de Francia Caballero

Ms. Maria Luisa de Francia Caballero serves as Chief Financial Officer of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. Luis Ruperez Cuenca

Mr. Luis Ruperez Cuenca serves as Director of Human Resources and IT at Pharma Mar SA. He joined PharmaMar in 2003 as Human Resources Director. Since 1992, he has been working in the Pharmaceutical Industry where he has held responsible positions as Human Resources Director for companies such as Servier Laboratories in Paris (France) and Antibioticos Farma. Before that, he has also worked in the area of Human Resources in companies of the service industry, such as Ibermatica and Sofemasa (Sema Group). Nadia Badri

Ms. Nadia Badri, M.D. has served Vice President - Medical Affairs at Pharma Mar SA since 2011. From 2008 to 2011 she held the position of European Medical Affairs Director Oncology for AstraZeneca in Belgium; previously, she was the European Team Area Leader for Oncology/Hematology at Janssen Cilag Europe, Middle East, and Africa from 2005 to 2008. Before this, from 2001 to 2005 she was appointed International Medical Director-Oncology at Aventis Pharma International in France, a position she held for four years after working as Head of Global Medical Affairs Oncology at Aventis (formerly Rhone Poulenc – Rorer) from 1999 to 2001. She headed the department of Clinical Research Europe/Asia for Rhone Poulenc – Rorer Gencell from 1997 to 1999, and obtained her first position as Medical Director at Chugai Rhone Poulenc in 1995. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1989, working for three years as clinical researcher and practicing oncologist at Laboratoires Roger Bellon and Laboratoires Pierre Fabre Oncologie. She received an M.D from the Hopital Maillot in Algeria where she did her residency in Internal Medicine while she was teaching assistant within this same department. She completed an internship in Oncology at the Institut Gustave Roussy in France, and has headed the Chemotherapy Unit at the Centre Pierre et Marie Curie in Algeria.

Carmen Cuevas Marchante

Ms. Carmen Cuevas Marchante, Ph.D. has been Director of Research & Development at Pharma Mar SA since 2003. She is responsible for the areas of drug discovery, medicinal chemistry and preclinical. She has authored more than 85 scientific publications in specialized journals and has been invited to speak numerous times at international scientific congresses and research institutions. She has an a record in the drug discovery space with about 21 patent applications and more than 20 funded research programs. Among other achievements, she is responsible for the development of the innovative synthesis process of the marine-derived anticancer drug, YONDELIS. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country, and completed her post-doctoral training at the School of Medicine of University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid working within the Pharmacology Department. She also obtained a management development program diploma from IESE.

Heiner Pieper

Mr. Heiner Pieper has been Vice President - Business Development & Licensing at Pharma Mar SA since May 2013. He started his industrial career at Bayer. He holds more than 20 years of expeience in commercial functions in Europe and Latin America, and has also worked for ASTA Medica AG and Baxter Oncology GmbH in Frankfurt, among others, as country manager in Argentina as well as regional director for Latin America where he led the Oncology operations for key brands such as Navelbine and Holoxan. In 2003, he joined Merck KGaA’s headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, where he took over the role of regional director Latin America and launched the monoclonal antibody Erbitux within the Oncology franchise. With the acquisition of Serono in 2007 he moved to business development and headed MerckSerono’s Global BD&L department for emerging markets and general medicine before joining PharmaMar as VP, Business Development and Licensing. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Licensing Club in Germany (PLCD) and part of the European network of Pharmaceutical Licensing groups (EPLG). He graduated in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Cologne.

Sebastian Cuenca Miranda

Mr. Sebastian Cuenca Miranda serves as General Counsel and Secretary of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. He also serves as Member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Securities Administrators Association since its foundation, and professor of the Chair of Capital Markets Law from San Pablo CEU University. Between 2009 and 2014, he has taught Civil Law for the Advanced Course in Airport and Aeronautical Business Management of San Pablo CEU University. He is a member of the panel of experts on the financial market established by the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission in 2006. Juan Nogues Ortuno

Mr. Juan Nogues Ortuno has been Director of International Sales and Marketing at Pharma Mar SA since February 2013. He joined the Company in 2012 as International Sales Associate Director. He has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Since 1983, he has held various positions in the commercial department of the Spanish subsidiaries of Roche (Medical Representative and Product Manager), CECA (Product Manager), Glaxo (Marketing and Market Research Manager), GlaxoWellcome (Marketing Director), GSK (Hospitals and Oncology Business Unit Director) and Eisai (Managing Director). He obtained his degree in Law and Business Administration (ICADE E-3) at the Comillas Pontifical University and a Masters degree (PADE) from IESE Business School.

Jose Luis Moreno Martinez-Losa

Mr. Jose Luis Moreno Martinez-Losa serves as Director of Investor Relations and Capital Markets at Pharma Mar SA. From 2002 until 2009, he was the co-founder and managing partner of the independent financial group Solventis. He was previously head of equity sales at Banco Espirito Santo Investment for three years after holding this same post for non-resident clients at Benito y Monjardín SVB. He started his career in capital markets in 1994 working in the research and marketing department of the Spanish Futures and Options Exchange (MEFF RF), developing financial derivatives.

Pedro Berbil Bautista

Mr. Pedro Berbil Bautista has been Director of Industrial Operations at Pharma Mar SA since December 2004. He joined PharmaMar in 2001 as Senior Manager of Production, Industrial Development and Logistics. His experience in the pharmaceutical industry has been acquired over a period of more than 25 years in companies such as Bristol Myers and Smithkline Beecham (currently GSK), where he has held different posts of responsibility in the Operations area. He received his Masters degree in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid and an Executive MBA from the IE Business School of Madrid.

Pascal Besman

Mr. Pascal Besman serves as Chief Operating Officer of PharmaMar U.S. at Pharma Mar SA. He joins PharmaMar from Maxim Group, a New York-based global investment bank, where he served as Head of Healthcare Equity Sales since 2014. In addition to Maxim Group, Mr. Besman served as a health care specialist and institutional equity salesperson at several leading investment banks, including JMP Securities, UBS, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. He authored for many years a widely-read weekly biotech overview newsletter for C-suite executives entitled The Buzz. Mr. Besman holds a B.Sc. degree from the London School of Economics.

Elena Calleja Crespo

Ms. Elena Calleja Crespo has been Director of Finance - Oncology Business Unit at Pharma Mar SA since April 2008. She joined PharmaMar in 2002 as Financial Controller. She started her professional career at PriceWaterhouse in Madrid in the Audit division and then moved to the Tax, Legal and Financial Division, where she worked until 1994. She was Senior Consultant in C&G, where she managed tax consultancy and financial projects in various companies, both public and private, within the logistics, transport and technological research sectors. In 1998, she returned to PricewaterhouseCoopers Madrid as Consultant within the Tax, Legal and Financial Division to various global financial sector clients. She obtained her degree in Economics, with a focus on the Public Sector and Monetary Economy, from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Masters in Corporate Tax Consultancy from ICADE University.

Ana Belen Irigaray Huarte

Ms. Ana Belen Irigaray Huarte has been Director of Corporate Regulatory Affairs at Pharma Mar SA since July 2014. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry at Galderma Laboratories in France as Corporate Regulatory Affairs Officer. She later joined GlaxoSmithkline at one of their production facilities, in the position of “Responsible for Regulatory Affairs” in the international plan to restructure the worldwide production. She joined PharmaMar’s team in 2002 as Regulatory Affairs Group Head, being responsible for several investigational drugs. Bringing over 20 years of experience in the field of international regulatory affairs. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra, Spain, and with a Masters degree in Research and Development of Medicinal Products from the same University. She also holds a degree in Public Health from the National School of Health, Carlos III Health Institute.

Luis Mora Capitan

Mr. Luis Mora Capitan serves as Managing Director of Oncology Business Unit of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. He began his career as the Financial Controller for Zambon, S.A. and Pharmazam, S.A. in Barcelona and later as Head of Finance, of Zambón Portugal. From 1995 to 2000, he continued as Financial Controller with the Antibióticos Group (Montedison), and as Board Member of Vitatene, in Milan, Italy. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration degree from Universidad de Barcelona.

Jose Luis Ortega Conejero

Mr. Jose Luis Ortega Conejero has been Director of Quality Unit at Pharma Mar SA since March 2004. He has 19 years experience in Quality related issues, 13 of them in different management positions within the pharmaceutical industry (Bristol-Myers, DSM Deretil and Justesa Imagen S.A). He also has worked at the Spanish National Accreditation Body (ENAC) and as a Quality consultant. He received his Masters degree in Biochemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Alfonso Ortin

Mr. Alfonso Ortin has been Director of Communications at Pharma Mar SA since 2016. He started to accumulate experience setting up the Press Office of Mercedes- Benz Spain, to, for the last 28 years lead the Communications Department at FCA. Belen Sopesen Veramendi

Ms. Belen Sopesen Veramendi, Ph.D. serves as Director of Market Research and Development of Pharma Mar SA. After founding and working as Manager and Technical Director of Qualysite Consultores, from 2001 until 2005, She became Managing Director of Noscira in 2006, a company she joined as Director of Quality Control. Arturo Soto Matos-Pita

Mr. Arturo Soto Matos-Pita has been Director of Clinical Development at Pharma Mar SA since June 2010. He started his career in drug development in the Clinical Trials Unit of the Pharmacology Department of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, where he also was an Honorary Professor participating in courses for the medical students. In 2002, he joined the Clinical Pharmacology department at PharmaMar, and was promoted to a role of increasing responsibilities in 2006. He obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Navarra in 1993 and received a qualified degree in Clinical Pharmacology at Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid in 1998.

Juan Carlos Villalon Gomez

Mr. Juan Carlos Villalon Gomez serves as Internal Auditor of Pharma Mar SA. Since November 2011, he has been in charge of the Group’s Internal Audit department, supervising the internal control system for financial reporting. He was previously Chief Accountant at Zeltia SA (June 2002–Nov. 2011) and at Pharma Mar SA (November 1994-June 2002), supporting the Group’s other subsidiaries. He holds a Masters degree in Financial Management from ESIC Business and Marketing School.

Montserrat Andrade Detrell

Ms. Montserrat Andrade Detrell serves as Director of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. She graduated in Biology in 1975, holds a degree in Medicine (1983) and received a diploma in Family and Community Medicine from Madrid Complutense University in 1983. She obtained a Masters from the University of Strasbourg, France (1991), a postgraduate diploma in Mammary Pathology from the University of Barcelona (1992), and a Masters degree in that same field one year later; in 1996, she qualified as a specialist in Medicine of the Breast and Mammary Pathology from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Ana Palacio Vallelersundi

Ms. Ana Palacio Vallelersundi serves as Independent Director of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. She also acts as Member of Audit Committee of the company. She is an attorney specialized in international and European Union law, arbitration and mediation, and a founder of the Palacio y Asociados law firm. Between 1994 and 2002, she was a member of the European Parliament, where she chaired the Legal Affairs and Internal Market Committee, the Justice and Home Affairs Committee and the Conference of Committee Chairs. Former positions include: Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2004, Member of the Spanish Parliament in its 8th legislature, in which she chaired the Joint Congress and Senate Commission for the European Union (2004-2006). She was subsequently appointed Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of the World Bank, and was General Secretary of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She holds a degree in Law, Sociology and Political Science.

Mr. Eduardo Serra Rexach serves as Independent Director of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal, representing Eduardo Serra y Asociados, S.L. He has held the following positions in the public sector: Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industry and Energy (1977-1979); General Secretary and Board Secretary of Spain’s National Industry Institute (INI) (1979-1982); Director of Banco del Crédito Industrial (1979-1982); Director of Butano (1979-1982); Vice-Chairman of Astilleros Españoles (1979-1982) and Chairman of Auxina (1979-1982); Under-Secretary of Defence (1982-1984); Secretary of State for Defence (1984-1987); Director of Instituto Nacional de Industria (1984-1987) and of Instituto Nacional de Hidrocarburos (INH) (1984-1987). He was Spain’s Minister of Defence from 1996 to 2000. He holds a degree in Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Carlos Solchaga Catalan

Mr. Carlos Solchaga Catalan serves as Independent Director of Pharma Mar, S.A. Sociedad Unipersonal. He began his career at the Bank of Spain, then transferred to the Instituto Nacional de Industria (INI) and subsequently to Banco de Vizcaya, where he was Director of Research and Advisor to the Chairman. He was Spain’s Minister of Industry and Energy between 1982 and 1985 and later Minister of Economy and Finance between 1985 and 1993. Between 1991 and 1993, he was Chairman of the Internal Committee of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He was a Member of the Spanish Parliament from 1980 to 1994, and headed the Socialist parliamentary group in 1993-1994. He holds a degree in Business and Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1966) and post-graduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1971).
