Name Description

Alfred Gossner

Prof. Dr. Alfred Gossner has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of First Sensor AG since September 11, 2012. He is Chief Financial Officer of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Bayern Innovativ GmbH.

Dirk Rothweiler

Dr. Dirk Michael Rothweiler has been Chief Executive Officer at First Sensor AG since January 1, 2017. After studying physics at RWTH Aachen, Dr. Rothweiler began his career in 1991 as a research associate in the Chair for Laser Technology at RWTH Aachen and at Fraunhofer ILT, where he served as manager for industrial projects. After earning his doctorate, he went to work in the Semiconductor Division at Carl Zeiss in 1995. In 1999 Dr. Rothweiler joined Suess Microtec, a manufacturer of systems and process solutions for microstructuring in the semiconductor industry and related markets. Six years later, Dr. Rothweiler became the Vice President Sales & Service in San Diego, California for technology startup TCZ, a joint venture between Cymer and Carl Zeiss. After working for ten years in the Asia-Pacific region and in North America, Dr. Rothweiler returned in Germany in 2008 where he led the global optics business for Jenoptik AG.

Goetz Gollan

Mr. Goetz Gollan has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of First Sensor AG since September 11, 2012. Prior to that, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company from June 9, 2011. He was previously Member of the Supervisory Board of the Company from June 7, 2010. Furthermore, Mr. Gollan occupies the position of Member of the Management Board of equinet Bank AG.

Mathias Gollwitzer

Dr. Mathias Gollwitzer has been Chief Financial Officer at First Sensor AG effective August 15, 2016. He was Interim Chairman of the Management Board, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at First Sensor AG effective June 16, 2016 to August 15, 2016. He has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board of First Sensor AG since August 10, 2015. He acquired his Ph.D. at Universitaet Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1992 and in the same year started his career at the German Aerospace AG in Munich. As of 1995, he worked for the Telefunken Systemtechnik GmbH in Ulm. In 2002, he moved to the company known today as Daimler AG, where he took over the commercial management of Group Research. Subsequently, he became responsible for Group Controlling and was appointed Chief Financial Officer for foreign subsidiaries. After 10 years at Daimler Group and 20 years in the technology sector, Dr. Gollwitzer changed over to EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG in 2012, where he was in charge of the power company’s transformation program in addition to Group Controlling.

Mr. Marc de Jong has been Member of the Supervisory Board of First Sensor AG since May 23, 2014. He is Chief Executive Officer of LM Wind Power.

Christoph Kutter

Prof. Christoph Kutter has been Member of the Supervisory Board of First Sensor AG since May 24, 2017. After completing his physics studies at Technische Universitaet Muenchen, Prof. Kutter first worked as a research association at the MPI High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Grenoble, where he wrote his dissertation. In 1995 he earned his doctorate in physics at Universitaet Konstanz. He then took a job as a development engineer at Siemens Halbleiter in Munich. He held various management positions in Development at Siemens AG, later known as Infineon Technologies AG; most recently he was Corporate Vice President of R&D Excellence. Since 2012 Prof. Kutter has been director of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Microsystems and Solid State Technologies EMFT and a professor for polytronic systems at Bundeswehr University in Munich. His primary research interests are sensors and actuators for humans and the environment.
