Name Description

Richard Auchinleck

Mr. Richard H. Auchinleck is Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. He is a corporate director and Chair of the Board of TELUS Corporation. He was Lead Director of TELUS from May 2014 to August 2015. He is also currently the Lead Director of ConocoPhillips, an oil and gas company. Dick was employed by Gulf Canada Resources Limited for 25 years, retiring in 2001 as President and Chief Executive Officer after the sale of the company to Conoco Inc. Dick has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of Tapestry Lead Director Network, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the National Association of Corporate Directors, Inc. and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Darren Entwistle

Mr. Darren Entwistle is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. He joined TELUS in 2000 as President and CEO and is the longest-serving CEO among global incumbent telecom companies. He also spent seven years on the senior leadership team at Cable & Wireless in the United Kingdom, culminating with his appointment as President for the United Kingdom and Ireland operations in 1999. Darren holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Concordia University in Montreal, an MBA (Finance) from McGill University and a Diploma in Network Engineering from the University of Toronto. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Conservatory, has Honorary Doctorates of Laws from McGill University, Concordia University, the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria, and has an Honorary Degree in Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Doug French

Mr. Doug French is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of the Company. He has 30 years of financial management experience and is a highly skilled and trusted advisor to the TELUS leadership team. With 20 years in the industry, he has the most national carrier experience of all Canadian telecommunications CFOs. Since joining TELUS in 1996, Doug has held progressively senior roles, including Controller for our largest business divisions, Consumer Solutions, Business Solutions and Technology Strategy, as well as leading Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting and Bid Governance. He served most recently as TELUS’ Senior Vice-president and Corporate Controller. Doug has held numerous key financial management and governance roles associated with the transformational events that have shaped TELUS. These include the company’s expansion from a regional to a national telecommunications carrier; capital market activities, including the issuance of billions of dollars in debt and equity; spectrum purchases; merger and acquisition activities; successful cost-efficiency initiatives; deployment of the company’s advanced wireless networks, including 4G LTE and HSPA, and the company’s ongoing generational investments in fibre. Doug is renowned as an expert in Canadian, US and IFRS disclosure requirements and often represents the Canadian industry in international discussions on accounting standards. Doug has recently been appointed to the International Accounting Standards Global Preparers Advisory Committee. Under his leadership, TELUS has garnered multiple awards and external recognition for the quality of our external reporting from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (for the past 20 years) as well as Investor Relations Magazine.

Sandy McIntosh

Ms. Sandy McIntosh is Executive Vice President, People and Culture and Chief Human Resources Officer of the Company. She joined TELUS in 2007 and has been championing the growth and development of the TELUS team ever since, transcending traditional HR accountabilities and challenging the status quo. She is focused on advancing TELUS’ business priorities, including human capital development, organizational effectiveness, transformational cultural change, labour relations, total rewards strategy and talent acquisition. She is a trusted advisor to the TELUS leadership team, creating programs that have strengthened the TELUS brand and helped drive the best team member engagement level in the world. She has also contributed to TELUS being recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers by Mediacorp for seven consecutive years. As a strong champion for TELUS’ commitment to give where we live, Sandy is passionate about her community, and serves as Vice-chair of the TELUS Toronto Community Board. She also serves as Honorary Chair of the Princess Margaret Hospital OneWalk to Conquer Cancer. Dedicated to developing people, Sandy has committed much of her time as a mentor. She was recognized for her outstanding professional achievements with a Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award from the Women’s Executive Network for two years in a row and a Leadership Excellence Award in the Trailblazer category from Women in Communications and Technology. Sandy holds both an Executive MBA and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, and graduated with honours from Carleton University in Public Administration. In addition, she is an alumnus of one of Canada’s leading executive programs, the Judy Project, with the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Phil Bates

Mr. Phil Bates is Executive Vice-president, Operations and Application Development of the Company. He is based in Vancouver and supports a national team of more than 3,000 team members who are responsible for creating reliable experiences for our clients and team through a converged network and IT organization. Phil’s team oversees application development, release management, network and systems operations, change management and support activities that deliver transformational results for TELUS and external clients across the country. Phil joined TELUS in 2003, where he led the team that provides network and IT system implementation and customer service for TELUS’ largest business and government clients. In 2011, he assumed leadership of our consumer contact centre operations, leading the more than 6,000 customer service agents and professionals that provide customer service to TELUS’ millions of consumers of mobility, entertainment, internet and telephone services across Canada. With over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications service industry in Canada and the United States, Phil’s experience includes operations, customer service, network engineering, information technology, regulatory, and general management. In addition to TELUS, Phil has also worked with Sprint Canada, MCI Communications and a number of other organizations. Phil holds a Masters’ in Business Administration from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has also recently completed a Master’s of Systems Engineering and Architecture program at the University of Southern California.

Josh Blair

Mr. Josh Andrew Blair is Executive Vice-President, TELUS Health and TELUS Business Solutions West and Chair, TELUS International of the Company. He also oversees TELUS’ customer experience, product marketing and Internet of Things (IoT) teams focused on business clients nationally, in addition to business sales and customer marketing in Western Canada. As well, Josh is the Chair of the Board for TELUS International, the global arm of TELUS that is led by President and CEO, Jeffrey Puritt. TELUS International’s approximately 30,000 team members across North America, Central America, Asia and Europe, provide contact centre, business processing and information technology solutions to major corporate clients worldwide. Josh also serves as TELUS' Chief Corporate Officer, supporting the company's Board on selected activities and priming relationships with many of TELUS' external stakeholders. In addition, he oversees TELUS Ventures, a team dedicated to investing in promising start-up companies with innovative technology solutions that can help TELUS operate more effectively and succeed in the marketplace. As a strong supporter of TELUS’ commitment to give where we live, he also serves on the Board of Directors for the Sandbox Project and the Board of Advisors for the Cures for Kids Foundation as well as being Vice-chair of the TELUS Vancouver Community Board. Josh is a professional engineer and his 23-year career at TELUS started after he graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria’s Electrical Engineering program. In 2015, he received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Victoria in recognition of his professional achievements and community contributions. Josh is also a graduate of the Executive Program at Queen’s School of Business.

David Fuller

Mr. David G. Fuller is no longer Executive Vice President and President, TELUS Consumer and Small Business Solutions of the Company effective January 2019. He responsible for providing innovative communications, information and entertainment solutions for customers at home, at work and on the go. His diverse and talented team serves the wireless and wireline needs for our consumer and small business customers. David joined TELUS in 2004, most recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, David led the team responsible for all aspects of consumer marketing, and the development and management of TELUS’ full range of products and services for consumer and small business customers. Prior to this role, David spent over five years as Senior Vice-President of Business Solutions Marketing, leading the team that managed and marketed a wide range of products and services for our business customers. Before joining TELUS, David spent over 15 years in the consulting industry, specializing in helping clients leverage leading-edge technologies to drive breakthrough business performance. David was the country Managing Director for BearingPoint, where he had national responsibility for the Consumer, Industrial, Technology and Life Sciences Industry Practices as well as the General Business Practice for Canada. He has also held management positions with KPMG Consulting and Canadian Pacific. David is a professional engineer and holds a Masters in Business Administration from York University, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from Queen’s University. He is a Board Director of Great-West Lifeco Inc. and of The Royal Conservatory of Music. David is based in Toronto.

Tony Geheran

Mr. Tony Geheran is Executive Vice President and President, Broadband Networks of the Company. He leads TELUS’ Broadband Networks team – responsible for the design, implementation, marketing and deployment of the most advanced Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP) program in the world. By expanding our fibre-optic infrastructure directly to homes and businesses, the Broadband Networks team is delivering a world-class network to our customers with unprecedented speed and reliability. This important program is helping drive innovation in the delivery of education, healthcare solutions and consumer & business products and services while putting Canadian communities at the forefront of the emerging digital economy. Prior to this role, Tony spent 5 years as Senior Vice-President of Customer Solutions Delivery, where he led a team of more than 5,000 TELUS team members and partners across Canada responsible for delivering TELUS wireline services to consumer and business customers. Tony has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry having previously led several teams in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. As a Director with Cable & Wireless Communications, Tony oversaw a multi-million dollar investment to bring new data, mobile and voice solutions to Ireland. He also specialized in Managed Services and Business Services with Mercury Communications and NYNEX Cablecomms UK. Tony is a graduate of the Cranfield School of Management with a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He holds a Professional Certificate in Business Administration from Open University and received his Professional Qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering while serving in the Royal Navy.

Francois Gratton

Mr. Francois Gratton is Executive Vice-President and President, Business Solutions East and TELUS Québec of the Company. He has been named TELUS Executive Vice-President responsible for business solutions for Eastern Canada. Already President of TELUS Québec and Atlantic Canada since 2012, Mr. Gratton is now responsible for business and enterprise sales, marketing, and support across Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. In this new role, Mr. Gratton will also lead TELUS’ national Managed IT Services team, which offers advanced platforms, security and network solutions to support business requirements for connectivity, collaboration and infrastructure. In addition, he will oversee TELUS’ Security Solutions team, which manages customers’ data by ensuring technology structures remain secure from remote access points to internal networks. Finally, Mr. Gratton will lead the Partner Solutions team, which puts TELUS’ extensive infrastructure and technology investments to work through wholesale agreements with global, national and local provider partners. Mr. Gratton joined TELUS with the 2008 acquisition of healthcare IT firm Emergis, where he was Executive Vice-President, Healthcare Delivery Solutions, with key oversight of sales, product development and operational activities. In 2009, he was appointed Senior Vice-President, Business Markets for Eastern Canada at TELUS Québec. His 2012 promotion to President, TELUS Québec and Atlantic Canada enabled Mr. Gratton to ensure the company’s growth across all markets in Quebec and Atlantic Canada through wireline, wireless and information technology solutions. Mr. Gratton holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Law from the Université de Montréal. He sits on the boards of Fondation Montréal Inc., La Presse, Gesca and Square Victoria Communications Group in addition to being a member of Le Cercle des présidents du Québec and the Harvard Business School Advisory Board.

Monique Mercier

Mme. Monique Mercier is Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, and Chief Legal and Governance Officer of Telus Corp. Throughout Monique’s 32-year career, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver exceptional results on highly complex projects. She has provided strong leadership and fostered spirited teamwork in positions she has held across various industries, including information technology, health and telecommunications. Monique began her career as a lawyer at Stikeman Elliott. She then worked at BCE and Bell Canada International before joining Emergis in 1999 as Executive Vice President of Law & Human Resources. Emergis was acquired by TELUS in January 2008. Monique is now a trusted advisor to the TELUS executive leadership team and Board of Directors. Based in Vancouver, she leads a multidisciplinary team that handles legal services, privacy and compliance, government relations, regulatory affairs, sustainability, social and media relations, sponsorships and events, and real estate. Monique is a graduate of the University of Montreal Law School and holds a master's degree in politics from Oxford University, where she was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship. In 2002, she was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal as a Canadian businesswoman who has made exemplary contributions to Canada as a whole. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, Monique had the honour of being named to the Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2015. In 2016, she was honoured as WCT’s (Women in Communications and Technology) Woman of the Year, received the Innovation award from Canadian Lawyer InHouse for Law Department Leadership, and was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Prix des Conseillers Juridiques du Québec.

Jeffrey Puritt

Mr. Jeffrey D. Puritt is TELUS Executive Vice-President and TELUS International President and CEO, a subsidiary of the Company. He is committed to service excellence for our global business process, contact center and IT outsourcing clients. In our industry, culture is the differentiator; it’s what drives our spirited teamwork and our customers’ first commitment. Jeff is also honoured to have recently been named “Executive of the Year - Gold Stevie Winner” in the Business Services category of the International Business Awards (Stevie Awards), on behalf of the TELUS International team. Since joining TELUS in 2001, Jeff has delivered strong business outcomes through progressively senior positions across Finance and Administration, IP Applications Business Development, New Product and Service Development, Ventures, and Mergers and Acquisitions. As President at TELUS International since 2008, Jeff has had the privilege to lead what he believes to be the best team in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, with over 30,000 inspiring team members who surpass client expectations every day from our offices in Asia, Europe, Central America and North America. Prior to joining TELUS, Jeff served as Vice-President, Corporate Development and General Counsel, at Daedalian eSolutions, where he led Daedalian's go-public transaction in 2000 and then directed the sale of Daedalian to TELUS in 2001. From 1998 to 2000, he was President and a Director of a CDNX-listed technology company. Since his call to the Bar in Ontario in 1989, Jeff was employed as counsel to a private law firm, a health care company, and a software company, in addition to managing his own private practice. Jeff obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and his Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Ontario, Canada, is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and, from 1989 to 2000, taught Business Law at York University, Department of Economics.

Eros Spadotto

Mr. Eros L. Spadotto is an Executive Vice President - Technology Strategy of TELUS Corp. He is a member of the TELUS technology team, He leads the creation and execution of TELUS' integrated wireline and wireless technology strategy and evolution. In his new role, He is responsible for determining TELUS' overall technology direction. Eros identifies opportunities, establishes the long-term direction of TELUS networks, and implements new technologies and services such as TELUS TV and CDMA wireless broadband services. He also leads a team responsible for designing the converged network for TELUS. Prior to this role, He served as the executive vice president and chief technology officer of TELUS Mobility, where he integrated TELUS Mobility's network operations after the acquisition of Clearnet Communications in 2000. Prior to this position He held the executive positions of chief technology officer and chief information officer at Clearnet where he led the team that built both national iDEN (Mike) and PCS networks. Prior to joining Clearnet in 1995, He held senior management positions in engineering and marketing at Bell Mobility. Mr. Spadotto holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Windsor in 1984 as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 1995.

Christine Magee

Mrs. Christine A. Magee is Director of the Company. Christine is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Sleep Country Canada, the largest mattress retailer in Canada. From 1982 to 1994, Christine worked in the banking and financial services industry at the National Bank of Canada and Continental Bank of Canada. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Metro Inc., Woodbine Entertainment Group, Trillium Health Partners, Plan International Canada, and the Advisory Council of the Talent Fund. Christine has also taken on an active mentoring role for Women's Executive Network. The recipient of numerous awards and other recognition, Christine has most recently received the Excellence Canada Special Recognition of Achievement Award in 2017, and was appointed to the Order of Canada on July 1, 2015. Christine holds an Honour's Business and Administration Degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Denise Pickett

Ms. Denise Pickett is Director of the Company. Denise was named Chief Risk Officer and President, Global Risk, Banking and Compliance, American Express in February 2018. From 1992 to the present, Denise has held a series of progressively senior roles throughout American Express. She was Country Manager for American Express Canada and President and CEO of Amex Bank of Canada. Denise subsequently relocated to the United States where most recently she served as the President of American Express OPEN, the small business division, followed by the President of U.S. Consumer Services. She was also a member of the board of directors of the Hudson's Bay Company (2012 to 2018) and serves as Vice Chair on the board of directors of the United Way of New York City. Denise holds an MBA in marketing from the Schulich School of Business at York University and earned her Honours BA in Human Biology and Physiology from the University of Toronto. She was named to Payment Source's Most Influential Women in Payments in 2018.

Raymond Chan

Mr. Raymond T. Chan is Independent Director of TELUS Corp. He is Chair of Baytex Energy Corp. in Alberta. He has held senior executive positions in Canada’s oil and gas industry since 1982. Ray was Chief Financial Officer of Baytex from 1998 to 2003 and Chief Executive Officer from 2003 to 2008. In 2009, he assumed the role of Executive Chair, and in 2014, he became Chair of Baytex in a non-executive capacity. Ray also serves as a director of TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. and has served on the boards of the TMX Group and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. Ray holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Stockwell Day

Hon. Stockwell Day is Independent Director of Telus Crop. He operates a consulting business called Stockwell Day Connex and is a senior strategic advisor to McMillan LLP. He served at the provincial and federal levels of government for over 25 years. From 2000 to 2011, Stockwell served as a Member of Parliament with the federal government, holding various positions including Leader of the Official Opposition, Minister of Public Safety, Minister of International Trade, Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, senior Minister responsible for British Columbia and President of the Treasury Board. From 1986 to 2000, Stockwell served with the Alberta government in a variety of roles, including Minister of Labour, Minister of Social Services, Provincial Treasurer and Minister of Finance. Stockwell attended the University of Victoria and has Honorary Doctorates from the University of St. Petersburg, Russia and Trinity Western University. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and a Certified Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Lisa de Wilde

Ms. Lisa de Wilde is Independent Director of TELUS Corp. She is Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVO), a position she has held since 2005. Prior to joining TVO, Lisa was President and CEO of Astral Television Networks. She currently serves on the Board of EnerCare Inc. and is a member of the advisory board of the University of Toronto’s Mowat Centre for Policy Innovation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from McGill University. Lisa holds Honorary Doctorates of Laws from Brandon University and Ryerson University. In 2015, she became a Member of the Order of Canada. In 2009, Lisa was recognized with the Women’s Executive Network Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 award, and in 2013, was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Mary Haddad

Ms. Mary Jo Haddad is Independent Director of the Company. She is the founder and president of MJH & Associates, which provides strategic leadership and healthcare advisory services. In 2013, she retired as President and CEO of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, a position she held since 2004. Prior to that, she held several leadership positions at SickKids, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Nurse Executive. Mary Jo has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Windsor, holds a Master of Health Science from the University of Toronto and Honorary Doctorates of Laws from the University of Windsor, Ryerson University and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. In 2011, Mary Jo was named one of Canada’s inaugural Top 25 Women of Influence in Health Sciences and was inducted into Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Hall of Fame by the Women’s Executive Network. In 2012, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal. She is a Member of the Order of Canada and a recipient of the Ontario Premier’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Kathy Kinloch

Ms. Kathy Kinloch is Independent Director of the Company. She has served as the President of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) since January 2014. From 2010 to 2013, she was President of Vancouver Community College, and from 2007 to 2010, she served as the Dean of Health Sciences at BCIT. Kathy was a Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Health for the B.C. government from 2006 to 2007, the Chief Operating Officer of the Fraser Health Authority from 2002 to 2006, and a Vice-President at Surrey Memorial Hospital from 1981 to 2002. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta, a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Royal Roads University. In 2016, Kathy was named a Woman of Distinction by YWCA Metro Vancouver. She was recognized by BC Business magazine as one of the 50 most influential women in British Columbia in 2015 and 2016; by Vancouver Magazine in its Top 50 Power list in 2015 and 2016; and by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s most powerful women in the top 100 Public Sector Leaders in 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2017, she was one of six winners of the Most Influential Women in Business award granted by Business in Vancouver magazine.

William MacKinnon

Mr. William A. MacKinnon is Independent Director of TELUS Corp. He is a corporate director. He served as Chief Executive Officer of KPMG Canada for more than nine years before retiring in December 2008. He also served in numerous roles at KPMG for 37 years, including as client relationship partner for several major TSX-listed issuers. Bill obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Manitoba in 1967. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and obtained his FCPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 1994.

John Manley

Hon. John P. Manley, J.D., is Independent Director of TELUS Corp., since July 1, 2012. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Council of Canada (formerly the Canadian Council of Chief Executives), a position he has held since 2010. From 2004 to 2009, he served as counsel to McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a national law firm. Prior to that, John had a 16-year career in politics, serving as Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Minister in the portfolios of Industry, Foreign Affairs and Finance. John obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa. He is certified as a Chartered Director by McMaster University and holds Honorary Doctorates from the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, the University of Toronto, Western University, the University of Windsor and York University. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada.

Mr. Sarabjit (Sabi) S. Marwah is Independent Director of the company. He is a Senator at the Senate of Canada. He retired as the Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) in 2014, a position he held since 2008. As Vice Chairman, Sabi was responsible for many of Scotiabank’s corporate financial and administrative functions and was actively involved in developing the bank’s strategic plans and priorities, including acquisitions both in Canada and internationally. His career with Scotiabank spanned 35 years, during which he held several senior positions including Senior Vice-President and Comptroller, and Executive Vice-President. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 1998 and Senior Executive Vice-President and CFO in 2002. Sabi holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics – Honours) from the University of Calcutta, a Master of Economics from the University of Delhi and an MBA (Finance) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Ryerson University in 2012 and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2017.

Claude Mongeau

Mr. Claude Mongeau is Independent Director of the Company. He is a corporate director. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian National Railway Company (CN) from 2010 to 2016. During his 22-year career at CN, he also served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to 2009, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2000, Vice-President, Strategic and Financial Planning from 1995 to 1999, and Assistant Vice-President, Corporate Development from 1994 to 1995. Claude holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Quebec and an MBA from McGill University.

David Mowat

Mr. David L. Mowat is Independent Director of the company. He is President and CEO of ATB Financial, a position he has held since June 2007. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Vancouver City Savings Credit Union from 2000 until 2007. In 2015, he was named Chair of the Alberta Royalty Review panel. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. In 2015, he received an Honorary Bachelor of Business Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and in 2017 he received an Honorary Doctorate of laws from the University of Alberta. In 2014, David was selected by Alberta Venture Magazine as Alberta’s Business Person of the Year.

Marc Parent

Mr. Marc Parent is Independent Director of the Company since November 7, 2017. He is the President and CEO of CAE Inc., a position he has held since October 2009. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at CAE since joining in February 2005, including Group President, Simulation Products and Military Training & Services, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having previously held positions with Canadair and Bombardier Aerospace in Canada and the U.S. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Canada and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC). Marc earned a degree in engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He was honoured in 1999 as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 leaders, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from École Polytechnique de Montréal. In February 2011, Marc was named Canadian Defence Review’s first ever Defence Executive of the Year. In 2016, he was awarded the Prix Mérite 2016 of the Association of Polytechnique de Montréal Graduates.
