Name Description

Jeff Lawson

Mr. Jeff Lawson is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder of Twilio, Inc. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Lawson served as founder and Chief Technology Officer of Nine Star, Inc., a multi-channel retailer of equipment and apparel to the action sports industry. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Lawson served as Technical Product Manager of Amazon.com, Inc., an electronic commerce and cloud computing company. In 2000, Mr. Lawson served as Chief Technology Officer of StubHub, Inc., an online marketplace for live entertainment events. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Lawson served in several roles at Versity.com, Inc., a website for college lecture notes, including as founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Lawson holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Film/Video from the University of Michigan.

Khozema Shipchandler

Mr. Khozema Shipchandler is Chief Financial Officer of the Company. From October 2015 to October 2018, Mr. Shipchandler served as Chief Financial Officer and EVP of Corporate Development at GE Digital, an operational technology and infrastructure software company that is a division of General Electric Company. George Hu

Nils Puhlmann

Mr. Nils Puhlmann is Chief Trust and Security Officer of the Company. Puhlmann has served as an advisor to Twilio since 2014. Previously, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Endgame, and also held the position of Chief Security Officer at Zynga, Qualys, and Electronic Arts. He also co-founded the Cloud Security Alliance nonprofit organization, which promotes the use of best practices for security assurance within cloud computing.

Jeffrey Epstein

Mr. Jeffrey Epstein serves as Lead independent Director of the Twilio Inc. Mr. Epstein is an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, which he joined in November 2011. From August 2011 to May 2014, he also served as a Senior Advisor at Oak Hill Capital Partners, a private equity firm. From September 2008 to April 2011, Mr. Epstein was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle Corporation, an enterprise software company. Since April 2003, Mr. Epstein has served as a director of The Priceline Group, Inc., a leading provider of online travel, and serves as a member of its Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. Since April 2012, Mr. Epstein has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Shutterstock, Inc., a global provider of licensed imagery, and serves as Chairman of its Audit Committee and as a member of its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Byron Deeter

Mr. Byron B. Deeter is Independent Director of the Twilio Inc. Since 2005, Mr. Deeter has served as a partner of Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Deeter served as a director at International Business Machines Corporation, or IBM, a technology and consulting company. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Deeter served in several roles, including co-founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Business Development, at Trigo Technologies, Inc., a product information management company, which was acquired by IBM in 2004. Donna Dubinsky

Ms. Donna L. Dubinsky is appointed as Director of the company effective December 1, 2018. She is the CEO of Numenta and former CEO of Palm Computing, as the newest member of the Twilio board of directors. Donna is an accomplished operational executive with extensive experience building leading technology companies across multiple sectors, and scaling companies through hyper-growth. As an early pioneer in the smartphone industry at Palm and Handspring, Donna brings a wealth of communications, mobile and developer expertise to the Twilio board. Currently, Donna is CEO of Numenta, whose mission is to understand the neocortex and build machines based on those principles. Donna earned a B.A. from Yale University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She also serves on the boards of Numenta and Cortical.io. Donna recently served on the board of Yale University from 2006-2018, including two years as senior fellow. Donna joins other Twilio directors, including Rick Dalzell, formerly of Amazon.com; Byron Deeter, managing partner at Bessemer Venture Partners; Elena Donio, CEO of Axiom Global; Jeff Epstein, operating partner at Bessemer Venture Partners; Erika Rottenberg, general counsel at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative; and Twilio chairman, CEO and co-founder Jeff Lawson. Ms. Erika F. Rottenberg is Independent Director of the Twilio Inc. From 2008 to 2014, Ms. Rottenberg served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at LinkedIn Corporation, a professional networking company.
