Name Description

Calvin Koonce

Mr. Calvin S. Koonce is Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Koonce is President and director of Montgomery Investment Management, Inc. (a securities investment firm), and has been the sole member of Koonce Securities, LLC, a securities broker/dealer firm, for more than the past five years.

Maurice Gauthier

Mr. Maurice A. Gauthier is President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Director of the Company. Mr. Gauthier is VSE Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer since April 2008. Mr. Gauthier retired in 1997 as a Navy Captain after 28 years of military service. Mr. Gauthier worked for VSE from October 1997 through February 1999 as Vice President and Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development, before joining the Nichols Research Corporation as President of its Navy Group. With the acquisition of Nichols Research Corporation by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1999, Mr. Gauthier served as a CSC Vice President and General Manager until rejoining VSE in 2008.

Thomas Loftus

Mr. Thomas R. Loftus is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of the Company. Mr. Loftus has served in various roles of increasing responsibility at VSE since 1978, and served as VSE's Comptroller, Senior Vice President and Corporate Tax Director from March 1999 to February 2002.

Joseph Brown

Mr. Joseph R. Brown is President - Federal Services Group of the Company. Mr. Brown brings over 20 years of experience as a program and business unit manager at VSE. Mr. Brown leads a team whose primary focus is refurbishment services to extend and enhance the life of existing vehicles and equipment, fleet-wide ship and aircraft support, aircraft sustainment and maintenance, foreign military sales and other technical, management, engineering, logistics, maintenance, configuration management, prototyping, technology, and field support services to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, U.S. Army and Army Reserve, U.S. Air Force, and other U.S. and foreign military customers. Prior to joining VSE in 1996, Mr. Brown served 20 years active duty in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College and an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Paul Goffredi

Mr. Paul William Goffredi is President and Chief Operating Officer of VSE Aviation, Inc., a subsidiary of the Company. He has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of our subsidiary VSE Aviation, Inc. since January 2015, when VSE Aviation, Inc. acquired Prime Turbines LLC (including both U.S. and Germany-based operations), CT Aerospace LLC, Kansas Aviation of Independence, L.L.C. and Air Parts & Supply Co. (collectively, "the Aviation Acquisition"). His focus and background includes business development, strategic OEM and major customer relations, supply chain management, engine and material acquisition, and operational excellence and improvement. Prior to joining VSE, Mr. Goffredi served for three years as Chief Operating Officer for Killick Aerospace, and 13 years with BBA Aviation as Program Director for all Honeywell Engine Programs. Mr. Goffredi received a degree in Business Administration from Mesa State College (Colorado) and holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from The University of St. Thomas (Texas).

Chad Wheeler

Mr. Chad M. Wheeler is President and Chief Operating Officer of Wheeler Bros., a subsidiary of the Company. Mr. Wheeler has served in various roles at WBI, including Senior Vice President of Operations, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Marketing and Sales Manager. While serving as Marketing and Sales Manager, Mr. Wheeler coordinated implementation of WBI's Managed Inventory Program which is used at the USPS' Vehicle Maintenance Facilities throughout the country. Mr. Wheeler graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998 with a degree in Marketing.

Thomas Kiernan

Mr. Thomas M. Kiernan is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Company. Mr. Kiernan has served as VSE's Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since November 2008.

Ralph Eberhart

General Ralph Edward Eberhart is Independent Director of the Company. He was General, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), formerly Commander-in-Chief, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command. General Eberhart retired from the Air Force in 2005 after 36 years of military service. He was then appointed and continues to serve as President of the Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA) and as Chairman of its related enterprises. General Eberhart is also a director of the following publicly traded companies: Rockwell Collins, Inc., since 2007, Triumph Group, Inc., since 2010 and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., since 2012.

Mark Ferguson

Mr. Mark E. Ferguson is appointed as Independent Director of the company effective December 1, 2017. He retired from the U.S. Navy in July 2016, after concurrently serving as Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa, as well as Commander of NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command, Naples, Italy. Admiral Ferguson was responsible for the overall command, operational control, and coordination of U.S. naval forces in the waters bordering the coasts of Europe and Africa, including the Baltic, Mediterranean and Black Seas. Admiral Ferguson previously served as Vice Chief of Naval Operations, where he was responsible for the global business operations, personnel and leadership development, and execution of the Navy’s annual budget. In his thirty-eight year naval career, Admiral Ferguson specialized in cyber defense, congressional and regulatory affairs, strategic planning, and personnel and operations management. He is a nuclear-trained surface warfare officer and holds a master’s degree in computer science from the Naval Postgraduate School.

James Lafond

Mr. James F. Lafond is Independent Director of the Company. He Retired certified public accountant and executive. From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Lafond was the Washington Area Managing Partner, PWC LLP. From 1964 to 1998 he served in various leadership positions at Coopers & Lybrand. He has served as a director of WGL Holdings, Inc. and WGL Energy (formerly Washington Gas and Light) since 2003, as well as various nonprofit entities.

John Potter

Mr. John E. Potter is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Potter is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority since July 2011. He served as the United States Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the United States Postal Service from 2001 to 2010.

Jack Stultz

Lt. Gen. Jack C. Stultz, Jr., USA Ret., is Independent Director of the Company. He is Consultant to the Defense Industry and former Chief Army Reserve/ Commanding General, U.S. Army Reserve Command from 2006 to 2012. He was an operations manager for The Procter & Gamble Company from 1979 to 2007. General Stultz entered active duty in 1974 after receiving his officer’s commission from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps at Davidson College.

Bonnie Wachtel

Ms. Bonnie K. Wachtel is Independent Director of the Company. She is Principal and Director, Wachtel & Co., Inc., investments, for more than the past five years. She is also a director of The ExOne Company and Information Analysis Incorporated. She has served as a Director for six Nasdaq listed companies, and served on the hearing panel for Nasdaq Listing Qualifications from 2006 to 2016.
