Name Description

Clive Beddoe

Mr. Clive J. Beddoe serves as Independent Chairman of the Board of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Beddoe is the President of The Hanover Group of Companies, a private investment company, and a former Director of Alberta Investment Management Corp. Mr. Beddoe, a successful entrepreneur, brings to WestJet a strong background in financial planning and strategic management. Mr. Beddoe is a private pilot and has been licensed to fly numerous types of aircraft. It was through this keen interest in aircraft that he became involved with the formation of WestJet. Mr. Beddoe served as President of WestJet until September 2006 and the Chief Executive Officer of WestJet until September 2007. On February 10, 2009, Mr. Beddoe relinquished his role as Executive Chairman of WestJet in favour of acting solely as Chair of the Board. Mr. Beddoe has been the recipient of honorary degrees from the University of Calgary and Wilfred Laurier University and was appointed the 2010/2011 Jarislowsky Resident Fellow in Business Management at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. In 2012, Mr. Beddoe was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and, in 2013, was inducted into the Calgary Business Hall of Fame.

Edward Sims

Mr. Edward Sims is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. Mr. Edward Sims was appointed President and CEO and as a director of WestJet on March 7, 2018. He joined WestJet as EVP, Commercial on May 29, 2017, responsible for all aspects of the commercial function, including sales, marketing, loyalty programs, network planning, revenue management, WestJet Vacations, corporate development and airline partnerships. Prior to WestJet, Mr. Sims held senior commercial and operational leadership positions within the Tui, Thomas Cook, and Virgin Groups and served for ten years at Air New Zealand where he led the international wide-body business. His most recent role was as CEO of Airways, New Zealand’s air navigation service provider. Mr. Sims obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from the Jesus College, University of Oxford. He has previously served on the boards of multiple tourism associations, the New Zealand Police and the Office of the New Zealand Auditor General.

Christopher Burley

Mr. Christopher M. Burley serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Christopher Burley is a corporate director and Vice Chair of WestJet’s Board of Directors. He serves on the board of Nutrien Ltd. (a fertilizer company) and is the former Non-Executive Chairman of Parallel Energy Inc., the administrator of Parallel Energy Trust (an oil and gas producer). He spent over two decades in the investment banking industry and was Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Energy at Merrill Lynch before his retirement in 2008. Mr. Burley has a Bachelor of Science degree with a certificate of Honours Standing (Geophysics) and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Education Program and holds the ICD.D designation.

Harry Taylor

Mr. Harry P. Taylor is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President - Finance of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Taylor He is responsible for the overall financial management of WestJet, its financial reporting and long-term financial planning, as well as for multiple corporate functions including audit and advisory, controllership, investor relations, procurement and materials, treasury and tax. Before joining WestJet, Mr. Taylor spent more than 20 years in retail and consumer packaged goods. He held senior finance and operating leadership roles with Canadian Tire Corporation, Holt Renfrew, Home Depot, and Frito-Lay in both Canada and the United States. Mr. Taylor began his career in professional services, serving clients for McKinsey & Company for five years and Ernst & Young for three years. Mr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto in 1983, a Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in 1988.

Jeffrey Martin

Mr. Jeffrey L. Martin is Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Jeff brings more than 28 years of commercial aviation and operational experience to WestJet. He comes from JetBlue, where he most recently served as executive vice-president of operations, responsible for Technical Operations, System Operations, Safety, Security, Flight Operations, Training and Regulatory Compliance for the sixth largest airline in the U.S. Prior to that he spent 22 years at Southwest Airlines, where he began his commercial career as a pilot, and took on various leadership roles, eventually serving as Vice President of the Operations Coordination Centre. In addition to his work in the aviation industry, Jeff has been a board member at LaSalle Hotel Properties since October 17, 2016.

Craig Maccubbin

Mr. Craig Maccubbin serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer of the Company. Mr. Craig Maccubbin joined WestJet as EVP and Chief Information Officer (CIO) in April of 2017. In this role, Mr. Maccubbin is responsible for the overarching strategy of WestJet's IT programs and the team’s continuing effort to support both external guest experience and internal productivity. Mr. Maccubbin joined WestJet from Southwest Airlines where he was the Chief Technology Officer. His career in senior leadership roles spans over 25 years, including CIO for Spirit Airlines, LasVegas.com and Black Entertainment Television. Mr. Maccubbin was a key player in the founding of the Aviation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (A-ISAC), a group focused on cyber threat intelligence sharing across the global aviation industry. Charles Duncan

Mr. Charles Duncan has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of the Company effective August 1, 2018 . Prior to joining WestJet, he was Senior Vice-President, Technical Operations at United Airlines where he oversaw the maintenance organization of 12,500 employees, including aircraft line and base maintenance, maintenance planning, reliability, ground service equipment, facilities and supply chain. He also enjoyed a long and successful career with Continental Airlines navigating the commercial side with roles in pricing and revenue management, network planning, and sales. Mr. Duncan has held several leadership positions, including Vice-President, Chicago O’Hare Hub, VicePresident, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for United Airlines as well as President and Chief Operating Officer of Continental’s semi-independent subsidiary, Continental Micronesia in Guam. Mr. Duncan achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations in 1996 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2002.

Steven Greenway

Mr. Steven Greenway is Executive Vice President, President Swoop of the Company. Prior to joining WestJet, he was the CEO of reward-U, the pioneering low-cost carrier (LCC) loyalty program of HK Express, and as the Board of Director of Zuji, one of Asia’s leading online travel agencies where he was responsible for helping drive operational excellence, strategic planning and accelerating revenue growth for both organizations. Mr. Greenway has held a variety of executive and leadership positions at airlines including Japanese LLC Peach Aviation, Virgin Blue, Virgin Atlantic and Qantas. More recently, Mr. Greenway was the founding member and Chief Commercial Officer for Scoot, Singapore Airline’s successful mid-to-long haul LCC. Mr. Greenway graduated from the University of Queensland with dual Bachelor Degrees in Economics in 1994 and Political Science in 1996.

Barbara Munroe

Ms. Barbara Elaine Munroe serves as Executive Vice President - Corporate Services and General Counsel of the company. Ms. Munroe joined WestJet in November 2011 as VP, General Counsel and was promoted to SVP, Corporate Services and General Counsel in June 2015. In her role she is responsible for the airline's legal and compliance function as well as multiple corporate functions including corporate real estate, regulatory, government relations and fuel and environment. Ms. Munroe began her law career with Blake, Cassels & Graydon, LLP in Calgary before moving to SMART Technologies where she led the legal department for eight years in senior roles. She then moved to Imperial Oil for several years where she held roles of senior counsel and assistant general counsel, upstream. Ms. Munroe obtained her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Calgary. She sits on the Board of Directors of Crescent Point Energy Corp.

Mark Porter

Mr. Mark Porter is the Executive Vice President, People and Culture of the Company. Mr. Porter is responsible for overseeing all aspects of WestJet's People (human resources) department including people relations, labour relations, talent management, organizational development, recruitment, total rewards and internal communications and culture. Prior to coming to WestJet, Mr. Porter spent almost a decade as senior vice-president of human resources with Shaw Communications. Mr. Porter also worked at Molson Canada as the Chief People Officer as well as Bombardier as an aircraft engineer before transitioning into a role in human resources. Mr. Porter has his higher national diploma in mechanical engineering with postgraduate diplomas in manufacturing management and human resources management from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and his Master of Business Administration in applied general management from the University of Sussex, England. He sits on the volunteer board for Outward Bound Canada which helps underprivileged kids with self-development, leadership and unlocking their true potential.

Stuart McDonald

Mr. Stuart McDonald is Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of the Company. Mr. McDonald will be vice-president and chief technology officer when he starts with WestJet on Jan. 29. With 25 years of global IT leadership experience, Mr. McDonald most recently served as vice-president, strategic initiatives, and vice-president, employee enablement, at TD Bank. Prior to his time at TD, Mr. McDonald held leadership roles in the technology and telecom industries in Hong Kong and Australia, including two years with Cathay Pacific as head of enterprise programs. Mr. McDonald holds an honours bachelor of computer science from University of Technology Sydney and will work with WestJet to build out the global technology footprint needed to meet the airline's expansion plans.

Gandeephan Ganeshalingam

Mr. Gandeephan Ganeshalingam is Vice President - Lean and Continuous Improvement of the Company. Mr. Ganeshalingam joins WestJet on Feb. 19 from GE Canada, where he most recently served as chief innovation officer. There, he supported WestJet on several initiatives including an artificial intelligence project to improve dispatch reliability for WestJet's Boeing 767s. Prior to joining GE, Mr. Ganeshalingam led the continuous improvement (CI) team for Avery Dennison, a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. He was a key member of the leadership team that successfully introduced Lean and CI concepts across the organization. Mr. Ganeshalingam holds a PEng degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Scott Groh

Mr. Scott Groh is Vice President - Crew Resources of the Company. Mr. Groh joined WestJet, Jan. 3, in the role of vice-president, crew resources. Mr. Groh most recently worked for Qatar Airways as Senior vice-president, crew resources, flight operations. Mr. Groh also held the position of vice-president, Crew Resources, for Etihad Airways for nine years and has more than 30 years of experience in crew planning, and crew scheduling operations. Mr. Groh's experience with a complex fleet mix and schedule network involving more than 200 aircraft, 3,500 pilots, and 11,000 cabin crew members with full-service global airlines will help WestJet prepare for the challenges and opportunities of deploying its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet and global network plans. Mr. Groh is a graduate of Georgian College in the Aviation Management program.

Alfredo Alfredo

Mr. Alfredo Alfredo has been appointed Chief Digital and Innovation Officer of the Company effective March 5, 2018. Alfredo joins WestJet as a former Facebook and Instagram Executive in Canada, where he was a founding team member in early 2009. Alfredo went on to work with the leadership team in Asia-Pacific in 2016 to help launch Facebook and Instagram in the Philippines. Similar management and leadership assignments brought him throughout Southeast Asia and Latin America, where he was responsible for helping to build culture, drive operational excellence, strategic planning and accelerate revenue growth in emerging markets. His 20-year career has been focused in technology, digital media, enterprise marketing and strategy. Prior to his tenure with Facebook and Instagram, Alfredo also held leadership positions at Yahoo!, Sympatico MSN and Bell Canada.

Allan Jackson

Mr. Allan W. Jackson is Lead Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Allan Jackson is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Arci Ltd., a private real estate investment company, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Jackson Enterprises Inc., a private holding and consulting company. Mr. Jackson serves as Chair of the board of directors for Canadian Western Bank (CWB) and previously served as a director of Princeton Developments Ltd., a private real estate development and management company. Mr. Jackson received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Bradley Armitage

Mr. Bradley Carr Armitage is Non-independent Directorof the company. He is the Chair of the WestJet Employee Association. He first joined WestJet in 2011 as a Customer Service Agent and in 2012 he joined the employee association as a representative in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mr. Armitage has been an active member of WEA, last holding the position of Secretary before his appointment to Chair in January 2017. Prior to WestJet, he worked mainly in federal and provincial politics, advising on the political and economic climate of Nova Scotia, as well as working within the party system on policy and organization. Mr. Armitage attended Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia Community College and Université Sainte-Anne, and is currently enrolled in the Industrial Relations program at Queens University.

Colleen Johnston

Ms. Colleen M. Johnston is Director of the Company. Most recently, Johnston served as Special Advisor to the CEO at the TD Bank Group prior to retiring in 2018 after 14 years with the bank. Across her years of service, she was the Group Head of Direct Channels, Technology, Marketing and Corporate and Public Affairs. She also spent more than ten years as Group Head, Finance, Sourcing, Corporate Communications and Chief Financial Officer and was actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion as the Chair of the Women in Leadership Committee. Prior to joining the TD Bank Group, Johnston held senior leadership roles at Scotiabank. Johnston holds a bachelor of business administration from York University's Schulich School of Business. She received her chartered accountant designation in 1984 and was elected a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2006. She has received numerous industry honours including Canada's CFO of the year in 2012 and was recognized by Women's Executive Network as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women three years in a row. In 2007, Johnston was also inducted into Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame.

Hugh Bolton

Mr. Hugh John Bolton is Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Hugh Bolton is currently the non-executive Chair of the Board of Directors of EPCOR Utilities Inc. (a private energy and energy-related services provider). From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Bolton was Chairman and Chief Executive Partner of Coopers and Lybrand Canada, Chartered Accountants. He is a former board member of Teck Resources Limited, Capital Power Corporation, Canadian National Railway Company, TD Bank Financial Group, and Matrikon Inc. Mr. Bolton is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Alberta. In 2006, he was made a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Canada), in 2010 he received the lifetime achievement award from the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants, and in 2015 he received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta. In 2017, Mr. Bolton was awarded the Peter Dey Governance Achievement Award, which recognizes outstanding and ongoing achievements in corporate governance.

Ronald Brenneman

Mr. Ronald Alvin Brenneman is Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. since September 2009. Mr. Brenneman is a corporate director and was Executive Vice-Chairman of Suncor Energy Inc. (an integrated energy company) from August 2009 until February 2010. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Petro-Canada from January 2000 until August 2009. Prior to joining Petro-Canada in 2000, he spent more than 30 years with Imperial Oil Ltd. and its then parent company Exxon Corporation. Mr. Brenneman also serves on the boards of Scotiabank and BCE Inc. Mr. Brenneman holds a B.Sc. (in chemical engineering) from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. (in control systems) from the University of Manchester.

Brett Godfrey

Mr. Brett Alan Godfrey serves as Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd., since August 22, 2006. Mr. Brett Godfrey is the co-founder and former CEO of Virgin Blue, now Virgin Australia, (a publicly listed airline). He has worked for various Virgin Group airlines, starting in the early 1990s with Virgin Atlantic as its Finance Manager. In 1997, he was appointed CFO of Virgin Express, before launching Virgin Blue, an airline he conceptualized and implemented in 2000 and retired from 10 years later. Mr. Godfrey is a board member of Auckland International Airport. He holds a business degree from Victoria University and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Godfrey was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for his service to tourism and aviation, was recognized as the Australian Chief Executive of the Year by the Customer Service Institute of Australia, and the Outstanding Chartered Accountant in Business by the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants. In 2017, Mr. Godfrey was appointed Chair of Tourism and Events Queensland.

S. Barry Jackson

Mr. S. Barry Jackson serves as Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd., since February 24, 2009. Mr. Barry Jackson is a corporate director. He is the former President and CEO and director of Crestar Energy Inc. (an oil and gas exploration and production company). Mr. Jackson is on the board, and the former Chair, of TransCanada Corporation (an energy infrastructure company) and TransCanada PipeLines Limited, and a former director of Laricina Energy Ltd (a private oil and gas exploration and production company). Mr. Jackson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. L. Jacques Menard

Mr. L. Jacques Menard, O.C. O.Q. is Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Mr. Ménard is the current Chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns, an investment advisory and wealth management firm, and President of BMO Financial Group, Québec, a highly diversified financial services organization. He currently sits on several boards including Claridge Inc., Stingray Digital, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Montreal Alouettes. He is the former Chairman of Hydro-Québec, the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and the Task Force on Sustainability of the Quebec Health Care and Social Services System. Mr. Ménard is a graduate of Collège Sainte-Marie, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. He has also received honorary doctorates from Concordia University, York University, the Université de Montréal and the Université de Sherbrooke. Mr. Ménard is a Companion of the Order of Canada and an Officer of the Order of Quebec.

Janice Rennie

Ms. Janice Gaye Rennie is Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. since August 3, 2011. Ms. Rennie currently sits on the board of Major Drilling Group Inc., Methanex Corp., Teck Resources Limited and West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. She has held senior management positions with a number of companies including, most recently, EPCOR Utilities Inc. where she served as Senior Vice-President of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness. Prior to 2004, Ms. Rennie was Principal of Rennie & Associates, which provided investment and related advice to small and mid-sized companies. Ms. Rennie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. In 2012, Ms. Rennie was made a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Karen Sheriff

Ms. Karen H. Sheriff is Independent Director of WestJet Airlines Ltd. Karen Sheriff is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of Q9 Networks Inc. having joined the company in January 2015 . Prior to her role at Q9, she was President and CEO of Bell Alliant from 2008 to 2014, following more than 9 years in senior leadership positions at BCE Inc. Ms. Sheriff is also a director of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.Early on in her career, Ms. Sheriff spent over 10 years at United Airlines, in the areas of Marketing and Strategy. Ms. Sheriff holds a master's degree in business administration, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance, from the University of Chicago . She was named one of the Canada's top 25 Women of Influence for both 2013 and 2014 by Women of Influence Inc. In 2012, she was named Woman of the Year by the Canadian Women in Communications and has been recognized as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEOs by Atlantic Business Magazine and one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women on multiple occasions.
