Fast-growing British discounter B&M European Value Retail <BMEB.L> bucked a subdued market with an increase in first-quarter sales, keeping the group's full-year growth plans on track.
B&M European Value Retail SA said sales rose 12.1 percent in the third quarter on robust demand in December.
British discounter B&M European Value Retail <BMEB.L> reported a dip in quarterly underlying sales at its main UK business, after warm spring weather pulled forward sales of gardening and outdoor products, leaving little stock left to sell in August.
B&M European Value Retail <BMEB.L> reported 8.3 percent revenue growth in its core British market for the first quarter, helped by strong sales of gardening and outdoor leisure ranges, and said it remained confident about its outlook.
