Growthpoint Properties Limited is a real estate investment trust. The primary business of the Company is investment in rental-generating properties, which are maintained and upgraded or refurbished as necessary. It operates through six segments: Retail, Office, Industrial, Australia, V&A Waterfront and Other joint ventures. Its property portfolio includes approximately 467 owned and managed properties in industrial, office and retail sectors in South Africa. Its retail portfolio includes approximately 58 properties, comprising over 48 shopping centers and vacant land or standalone single-tenanted properties. Its office portfolio includes high rise offices and office parks. Its industrial portfolio includes industrial parks, retail warehousing and motor-related outlets. The V&A Waterfront is a 122 hectare mixed-use property development situated in and around the Victoria and Alfred Basins. It has properties located in Greater Johannesburg, Pretoria, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
