Renewi plc, formerly Shanks Group plc, is a waste-to-product company. The Company operates through five business divisions: Netherlands Commercial, Belgium Commercial, Hazardous Waste, Monostreams and Municipal. The Netherlands Commercial division is engaged in collecting, sorting, treating and recycling commercial and household waste in the Netherlands. The Belgium Commercial division is engaged in collecting, sorting, treating and recycling commercial and household waste in Belgium. The Hazardous Waste division is engaged in treating soil, water and packed chemical waste and conducting specialist industrial cleaning services, and waste logistics. Renewi's shares sank on Friday after the waste recycling specialist said it would take a 25 million euro (21.52 million pounds)hit as a result of ongoing regulatory problems with its ATM soil treatment plant in the Netherlands.
British recycler Renewi Plc on Friday said earnings before interest and tax would take a 25 million euro hit from its continuing problems with soil shipments by its plant in Moerdijk, south of The Hague.
