Eccentric and avant-garde, Parisian pop-star Petite Meller owning the stage at London's Heaven club - her first ever UK gig. The Sorbonne post-graduate student says she invented her own musical style while working with international producers. SOUNDBITE Singer, Petite Meller, saying (English): "In time, I invented my own genre which is nuovo jazzy-pop, which is a mix of jazz and house, kind of piano-house." Her catchy summer hit Baby Love rocked the charts cementing her on the music scene. And her new track Barbaric looks to set to further her success. Mellers creative collaborations have come about thanks to her unconventional approach to the business. SOUNDBITE Singer, Petite Meller, saying (English): "I have a team, all of them I met actually online, on Facebook and social media. They approached me online, so it's kind of coincidence that I am meeting people online and creating with them and I call it my little empire." An empire that looks likely to grow and grow.
