ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Peruvian riot police fired tear gas and water cannons on Wednesday (November 25) to disperse hundreds of striking public workers demanding higher pay and work conditions in Lima. According to police reports, 16 people were arrested in the violent clashes. Thousands of riot police officers were deployed and a number of demonstrators were injured. Peru's judicial workers have been on strike for more than a week to demand bonus payments and larger salaries for the sector's employees.
