"Star Wars" creator George Lucas, who was not involved in making the long-awaited new film, "The Force Awakens," told the Washington Post that he is ambivalent about seeing the movie and compared himself to a divorced father attending his child's wedding. Lucas told the paper, "My ex will be there, my new wife will be there, but I'm going to have to take a very deep breath and be a good person and sit through it and just enjoy the moment, because it is what it is and it's a conscious decision that I made." Lucas sold the franchise to Disney three years ago for some 4 billion dollars. He was originally supposed to act as a consultant, but the director said Disney "didn't like" the stories he had outlined for the sequels, and director J.J. Abrams took full control of the story and filmmaking. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens on December 18.
