There was no warning. The pipe bomb exploded during the evening rush hour on an overpass near an Istanbul metro station. Five people were injured. Officials halted train operations as security forces converged on the scene. CCTV images showed a large flash of light followed by what appeared to be burning embers falling to the ground. Turkey has faced several bombings this year -- some of which were believed to have been carried out by Islamic State. It also faces security threats from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party. Though so far in this attack, no one has claimed responsibility.
