Swedish police say they are now investigating an alleged cover-up by their officers. This comes after Swedish media published internal police reports, saying around 50 suspects carried out sexual assaults against teenage girls at a music festival last August. ...An allegation that Sweden's police chief says WILL be taken seriously. (SOUNDBITE) (Swedish) SWEDEN'S POLICE CHIEF DAN ELIASSON, SAYING: "Yes, this matter will not go unnoticed. We have to get to the bottom of this, if there is any veracity to this information, it has to be remedied and we have to see if someone has done wrong. This will be investigated." Swedish media -- who say the assaults were committed by mostly migrant youths -- have drawn comparisons to attacks on women in Cologne and other German cities on New Year's Eve. Those attacks have sparked protest, with the right-wing movement calling for a halt to the influx of migrants. The attacks in Cologne have also sparked a debate about tougher rules for migrants who break the law, faster deportation procedures, and increased security measures such as more video surveillance in public areas and more police.
