Have you Tweeted yet? To keep the world abreast of discussions in Davos, the World Economic Forum is urging delegates to post their thoughts on Twitter. Celebrity Twitterati already include Davos veteran Bill Gates, as well, of course, as Reuters Insider. But Twitter virgins are being helped at a Social Media Corner in the Congress Centre with no question too stupid to ask SOUNDBITE: Unidentified woman saying (English): "It clearly shows the future of communications, so yes I do feel it will do a lot of good for Davos, getting the word out and spreading the information that's gained here. I think so, for sure." Four hundred of the two and a half thousand participants are now active, tweeting their thoughts, weblinks and pictures## SOUNDDBITE: Matthias Luefkens, Associate Director-Media, WEF Spokesperson saying (English) "For the fourth year in a row, we have a social media corner at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting here in Davos. We have a YouTube upload station where participants can respond to videos and questions submitted by YouTube users. We have a Twitter wall, Flickr gattery and Facebook corner where Randi Zuckerberg will be interviewing participants live on Facebook live" In the past year and a half, Twitter has suddenly become part of the political scene particularly in Iran and Egypt - where the site said it was shut down this week. And bit by bit it's attracting delegates' imagination in Davos. So far the World Economic Forum hash tag - a collection of Tweets about Davos - has topped 15,000. And I might just tweet this show. I'm Adrian Murdoch. This is Reuters.
