Apple unveiled a cheaper iPad, an updated iPhone SE, and a special edition iPhone 7. The iPad sports a brighter screen and a low starting price of $329 - the lowest ever for a full-sized Apple tablet. The iPhone SE now offers more storage. And the iPhone 7 Special Edition comes in red to commemorate Apple's work with the Global Fund to fight HIV and AIDS. The news crossed the wires well before Apple is expected to introduce its new iPhone this fall. It might come with new features, such as wireless charging, 3-D facial recognition, and a curved display. Stephen Nellis covers the story for Reuters. (SOUNDBITE) STEPHEN NELLIS, REUTERS CORRESPONDENT, (ENGLISH) SAYING: "What they did, they kind of built up a lot of demand, and then the dam just broke when the iPhone 6 came out. Analyst are thinking that something similar is going to happen right now with the next generation of the iPhone. There's a lot of people out there holding on the iPhone 5 S, the original iPhones 6, who just now made that jump to the 7, and they all counting in analyst community on that kind of dam of demand that has been bottling up for a couple of years now, breaking when this new iPhone comes out." Apple also unveiled a new app called Clips for creating videos and sharing them with friends on its iOS devices. Clips takes direct aim at Snap. It lets users add captions and speech bubbles to videos and share them on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram. But, unlike Snap or other messaging apps, users can add captions to videos using their voice.
