Oculus cut the price of its virtual reality Rift headset and Touch controllers to $399 for six weeks. That's the second price drop in three months. In March, Oculus discounted the set from $800 to $600. David Ingram covers the story at Reuters: (SOUNDBITE) DAVID INGRAM, CORRESPONDENT, REUTERS (ENGLISH) SAYING: "Oculus and its competitors, Vive and Playstation, they are looking for the reason why virtual reality hasn't taken off, and this price cut, I think, will be one way for these companies to figure out how they can grow the market." With the move, Oculus matched the price of Sony's competing PlayStation VR. It undercuts significantly the HTC Vive, list at $799 on its website.
