SHOWS: LONDON, ENGLAND, UK (AUGUST 3, 2017) (REUTERS - ACCESS ALL) 1. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARSENAL MANAGER, ARSENE WENGER, SAYING ABOUT WHAT HE AND ALEXIS SANCHEZ HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT WITH REGARDS TO A POSSIBLE TRANSFER: "Of course, I speak to my players." REPORTER: "What can you tell us then?" WENGER: "Nothing." REPORTER: "Has he asked to leave?" WENGER: "I just answered your sentence. I will not give you anything away on that because that's the only thing I can tell you. He is focused. My decision is clear. He will stay and he will respect that and it's as simple as that." 2. WHITE FLASH 3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARSENAL MANAGER, ARSENE WENGER, SAYING ABOUT NEGOTIATIONS HE HAS HAD WITH ALEXIS SANCHEZ: "That's again we do not want to come back out on that because every negotiation or not negotiation has to be a little bit secret. The transparency in society is a little bit pushy but we have to resist a little bit as much as we can. And we know as well we have a duty to inform people but some things... to talk about some things is not information anymore. It's suicide." STORY: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez will stay at the club for the 2017-18 season. Sanchez, who was Arsenal's top scorer in the Premier League with 24 goals last season, has been linked by the French media for a move to Paris St Germain, but Wenger was adamant Sanchez would stay at the Emirates Stadium. Wenger, speaking at a news conference following an open training session at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday (August 3), said the Copa America winner will respect his manager's decision and not be leaving the London club. Sanchez is a doubt for Sunday's (August 6) Community Shield game against Chelsea having returned late from the Confederations Cup. Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are also doubtful for the Chelsea match. Arsenal kick off their league campaign against Leicester City on August 11.
