A suspected jihadist attack on a restaurant in Burkina Faso is over. Security forces shooting dead two attackers and freeing people trapped inside. Gunshots had rung out near the Aziz Istanbul restaurant in the capital Ouagadougou late on Sunday (August 13) in an incident the country's communication minister labeled a "terrorist attack". Remi Dandjinou told a news conference at least 18 people were killed and several more wounded. Customers were seen running out of the restaurant as security forces arrived. Eyewitnesses described the moment of the attack (SOUNDBITE) (French) WITNESS, MOUSSA OUEDRAOGO, SAYING : "At the beginning we thought that it was a robbery but then we realized that it is more than that. Some were telling us that they were robbed and then thrown out. And then we saw the news. It's worse than we thought." Turkey's foreign minister has confirmed a Turkish national was among the victims. While French media is reporting one of its citizens was killed. Nobody has yet claimed responsibility for carrying out the attack but Burkina Faso has been the target of similar incidents like this in the past.
