ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. British Prime Minister Theresa May said at the weekly Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday (October 18, 2017) that it would be irresponsible of the UK government not to prepare for a no-deal scenario in the Brexit negotiations. May's Home Secretary Amber Rudd said on Tuesday (October 17, 2017) it was "unthinkable" that there would be no Brexit deal between the UK and the European Union, revealing divisions on the topic within the cabinet. Responding to criticisms from Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn on the government's economic record, May said the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) had scored the UK highly on fiscal sustainability and jobs and earnings. The OECD said on Tuesday that it expects the British economy to grow more slowly next year.
