SHOWS: NEAR BEIRUT, LEBANON (FILE - SEPTEMBER 20, 2017)(RED BULL CONTENT POOL - SEE RESTRICTIONS)(MUSIC) 1. CALIFORNIA, USA'S ALEX MASON ATTEMPTING AND FAILING TO CROSS SLACK LINE BETWEEN TWO ROCK PILLARS 2. ALEX MASON SUCCEEDS IN MAKING THE CROSSING BETWEEN TWO ROCK PILLARS, HE CELEBRATES STORY: California's Alex Mason made the crossing between Lebanon's Rock of Raouche pillars recently (September 20) - on a slack line 40 metres above the sea. The slack line is less taut than a tight rope and so more likely to swing in the wind. A fall into the water from 40m is likely to result in death or injury so Mason wore a safety harness for the crossing. The Rock of Raouche or Pigeon Rock is a rock structure in the sea near Beirut consisting of a main rock, with a natural archway in it, and a subsiduary rock. Mason strung the line between the two rocks and walked across it.
