Tourists evacuated by boat from the Vietnamese city of Hoi An on Monday (November 6) as the human toll from Typhoon Damry rises. Around 50 people are now confirmed dead after heavy winds and flooding that have damaged more than 80,000 homes and wrecked roads just days before the country hosts the APEC meeting of leaders from Asia-Pacific including Donald Trump. Soldiers and locals have been brought in to help clean up coastal areas, including beach town of Danang where the summit officially began on Monday. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's Vladimir Putin will also be attending. With coastal areas battered, the storm is now heading inland towards a key coffee growing region where the harvest season is just getting underway.
