ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Thousands of people are expected to gather in central Barcelona on Saturday (November 11) where they will call for the release from prison of the sacked Catalan government and the two the leaders of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) and Omnium Cultural, the two main pro-independence grassroots groups. The ANC said hundreds of buses carrying supporters were due to arrive in Barcelona to join the demonstration which will be attended by family members of those imprisoned as well as representatives of the secessionist parties. Eight members of the government, including Vice President and leader of the Republican Left (ERC) Oriol Junqueras, have been remanded in custody pending possible charges over their involvement in Catalonia's October 27 declaration of independence whilst sacked Catalan President Carles Puigdemont and four other members of the deposed Catalan government are in Brussels where they contesting an arrest warrant issued by Spain for sedition and other charges. ANC president Jordi Sanchez and Omnium Cultural leader Jordi Cuixart have been remanded in custody pending an investigation for alleged sedition over their role in organising a protest against Spain's Guardia Civil police in the run-up to the banned October 1 referendum.
