The latest big catch in a country plagued by counterfeits. Chinese police have seized 14,000 bottles of fake Australian wine in Shanghai. Suspects in the case telling authorities the bottles were filled with wine, but it was a cheap knock-off from overseas that cost only $10 a bottle. The suspects say they marked the price up to $150 a bottle and sold it online as a premium product made by the world famous winemaker Penfolds. Australian media say the crime was first caught by the company that owns the brand after it noticed its product selling at suspiciously cheap prices on Chinese online platforms. Authorities say 13 suspects have been arrested in a swindle worth more than one-and-a-half million dollars.
