Wednesday, April 17, 2019 - 01:19

According to tradition, the stairs, known as the ''Scala Sancta,'' were part of Pontius Pilate's palace in Jerusalem and brought to Rome in 326. Some Catholics believe they were climbed by Jesus in Jerusalem, and they have now been uncovered from a protective casing and restored for the first time in nearly three centuries. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
