"Lalola" Wins Nine Martin Fierro Awards Including Golden Award and is Voted Best Fiction at Fund TV Awards in Argentina LONDON--(Business Wire)-- Dori Media Group ("Dori Media" or "DMG"), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, is pleased to announce that its latest hit comedy "Lalola" won nine awards at the 38th Martin Fierro TV awards in Argentina last week, making it the biggest winner of the ceremony. In addition, "Lalola" was voted best fiction of the year at the Fund TV awards held this week in Argentina. "LaLola" is produced by Dori Media Contenidos, a subsidiary of the Dori Media Group, and is based on an idea by Sebastian Ortega for Underground Productions. The show tells the story of Lalo, a man who wakes up one morning in the body of a woman, Lola, and is forced to deal with the new and challenging life this entails. "Lalola" won the Golden Martin Fierro award for overall best programme. The show also won awards for best comedy, actor, actress, supporting actor in a comedy, direction, screenplay and acting revelation. Since it was first broadcast in Argentina less than a year ago, "Lalola" has been sold to more than 52 countries including France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Chile and Vietnam. In the US, Sony Pictures Television acquired the rights to the "Lalola" format and Fox Broadcasting Company is producing a pilot for the North American market. On Sunday 6 July, "Lalola" started being broadcast on Antena 3 in Spain and received 17% share of audience, nearly as much as the Wimbledon tennis championship final won by Spanish player Rafael Nadal on a different channel.
