Mexico's interior minister is laid to rest in a state funeral, along with seven others killed in a helicopter crash Friday. Minister Francisco Blake helped the country combat drug cartels, in a conflict which has killed 45,000 people in the past five years. He is the second interior minister under President Felipe Calderon and the third high-ranking security official to die in an air accident. Calderon and the first lady led the funeral Saturday as rumors circulated that cartels were behind the crash. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) PRESIDENT OF MEXICO, FELIPE CALDERON SAYING: "In these difficult moments the country is going through, Minister Blake did not only co-ordinate government security forces, but did so with sensitivity according to the demands and needs of the people. Instead of fearing the citizenry, he governed for the people." Amid an ongoing investigation, officials said fog likely caused the helicopter to go down and they had not found evidence of foul play.
