Mar. 25 - Cairo soccer fans say the al-Masry team deserves a harsher punishment for the deadly stampede at a soccer game last month. Deborah Gembara reports.

Cairo soccer fans say the al-Masry team deserves a harsher punishment for the deadly stampeded at a soccer game last month. Deborah Gembara reports. In Cairo fans of the local soccer team took to the streets in response to the Egyptian football association's ruling on the bloody stampede at a game last. They say their rivals --- the al-Masry team from Port Said deserves a stronger punishment for scuffles that led to the deaths of 74 people. Al-Masry has been banned for two years after fans stormed the field and triggered a stampede. These soccer fans say the team deserves to be relegated to a lower division. SOUNDBITE: Khaled Mohamed saying: "Of course (this penalty) is not enough. Each family that has lost someone, this penalty is not enough for sure -- not until we see with our own eyes justice being served over and over." The stadium in Port Said were the deadliest since the uprising that toppled president Hosni Mubarak. Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
