It's a fragile peace in the east . Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says he hopes the ceasefire will hold in a crisis where the only solution is diplomatic. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT PETRO POROSHENKO, SAYING: "There is no military solution for this crisis, and we should keep Ukraine united. As for keeping my country united we should decentralize power. And I'm proud that I would be the first president who would be ready to do that." His comments come as the West launches another round of sanctions against Russia -- a move Moscow says is aimed at disrupting the peace process. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, SERGEI LAVROV, SAYING: "Our position is that making this type of decision at the very moment when the peace process is gaining stability - we hope - means choosing the path of disrupting the peace process." Ukrainian forces have battled pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine for five months in a conflict that killed more than 3,000 people. The two sides have been broadly observing a ceasefire since last Friday, despite sporadic violations.
