Three years after militants attacked the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, killing U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and others, one of the attack's suspects appeared in federal court in Washington, D.C. Libyan Ahmed Abu Khattallah is accused of conspiring to support terrorists. During his appearance, he asked U.S. District Judge Casey Cooper to dismiss some of his charges against him. Cooper reportedly made no decisions on Friday but said he will issue a written ruling. The attack killed three other Americans as well and set off a political firestorm in Washington, putting pressure on then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination.
