ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Protests were held in London, Berlin and Brussels as Donald Trump took power as across the Atlantic Donald Trump was being sworn in as America's 45th president. Several hundreds of protesters rallied outside the U.S. embassy in London. The demonstration, organised by Stand Up To Racism, saw people condemning Trump's views on migrants, Muslims, women, gay people and climate change. These views were echoed by hundreds of protesters demonstrating by Berlin's Brandenburg Gate and in central Brussels. Donald Trump took power as the 45th president of the United States on Friday and pledged to end "American carnage" of social and economic woes in an inaugural address that was a populist and nationalist rallying cry. Other protests were organised in Europe and the rest of the world, while many demonstrators were expected to participate in a "Women's March on Washington" on Saturday (January 21).
