ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Leading Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday (February 24) and compared Brexit's popularity to U.S. President Trump's. "Just as Brexit becomes more popular by the day, President Trump will become more popular in America by the day," said Farage. "I always believed that we should govern our own country. I always believed we should reach out and make our own deals with our real friends in the world. And it's funny, our real friends in the world speak English, have common law and stand by us in times of crisis." Farage said. Conservatives are celebrating President Donald Trump's role in delivering them a victory in November's election, but beneath the surface at an annual convention this week lurk tensions central to how Republicans will govern. Known as CPAC, the event is being held in suburban Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C., as Republicans who control the White House and Congress argue among themselves over issues such as trade, taxes and how to dismantle and replace President Barack Obama's landmark healthcare law.
