FIFA Director of competition, Colin Smith, praised the amount of work carried out at Fisht stadium, which will be one of the four arenas to host the Confederations' Cup in June and July. "With the support of the local authorities, a lot of work has already been completed. But there remains a significant amount of work still to be done," he said as the inspectors made a tour around the facility. Fisht stadium has space for 47,700 people and the whole territory of the facility takes up 151,400 square metres. During the visit FIFA have been touring cities which will host the Confederations' Cup only. On Monday (February 27) the delegation went to St Petersburg's Zenit Arena and said the stadium would be ready in time for the championship, after being plagued by safety concerns. FIFA will also visit facilities in Kazan and Moscow.
